It does help to mention them all at once though, for clarity. I didn’t realise you were talking about Rambasa until you said it just before.
I was only talking about the Savior Monk, because I stopped reading when I saw it attempt the illegal attack. Everything past that point was moot in determining whether or not the turn was legal.
I fixed it. I think this revised turn works with all the rules
Looks good. GG WP! I’m game to run it back if you are.
Sounds good

Thoughts
Since he’s going with Grave, there’s a good chance he’s teched in a Versatile Style to counter the Aven. If he has… it’s an even trade, and if not, the Aven is free to go nuts. Worth a try, I suppose. As for techs, my best option is probably to rush straight for a Peace engine, as P2 I have the initiave there, just gotta protect my infrastructure and stall… and if I can use technicians to gain card advantage, I think I can make that work. Just gotta stockpile gold for the investment costs…

Thoughts
Ugh, that’s a lot of pressure. I need more firepower, so I’ll have to splurge on a Tower. Pecking off the Sensei to try to reduce his options, also avoids giving away a patrol bonus. Patrolling Director as technician to ensure I recover my hand size and Quince as SQL so he can hopefully soak 2 attacks.
Peace tech? We can’t have that

You paid $2 to get Grave from 1 to 3, then killed Onimaru to get from 3 to 5, but how did you get from 5 to 7 to use his maxband ability?
I couldn’t have. The Aven lives I guess
In that case, Grave will still have 2 damage from fighting the Cadet, but has the option to patrol due to readiness.
Okay there we go
My mistake, it’s actually 3 damage including the Tower, meaning that even in SQL, he’s looking at death by Aven.
Surely you cannot spark the technician from elite
That’s correct, hence the use of Grappling Hook.

Thoughts
Hmm, Tower means no Tech Lab, which means no Eyes and no Macciatus. The Tower should buy me enough time to deal with Ninjutsu as long as I try to be proactive, I think. Might be worth taking a Spy (or 2, in case Tower) to check whether or not to use Free Speech or target a specific building, though that’s somewhat less valuable vs. Setsuki’s maxband. But going for Drill Sergeants too early could be hampered by his Flagbearer. Probably best to start stocking up on runes now, I guess… so long as the Sergeants survive, they’ll be able to distribute runes whenever the Flagbearer is down.

I can quickly get Versatile Style in hand in the event of a Garrison. I also have a 1 in 3 chance of drawing a Barbarbarian, which Sparring Partner can make scary in a hurry.
