Good, the Flagbearer is gone, time to Drill Sergeant! Letās seeā¦ I think I should block $2, 'cuz Birdās nest, Mythmaking, Hidden Ninja, Thunderclap, Versatile Style. She didnāt go Discipline, so with the Sparring Partner down, she canāt increase Setsukiās health, so 4 attack should be enough of a deterrentā¦ actually, 3, with the Towerā¦ wait, no, gotta factor in her swift strikeā¦ so I need 4 health as well. I barely have enough.

Iāll save the Newsman for next turn; against Rook Iām on guard against Birdās Nest and Thunderclap. I suppose I could slip in the Inspector as well, to interfere with his Tech I, but Iād need to delay mine to do soā¦ which wouldnāt slow down my progress towards my Tech II, but the question is, am I willing to wait for my Tech I units? Which cards do I want to tech? Bigbyās spells are all best used in the mid- or late-game, and if I canāt afford a Tech I, I definitely canāt afford a Heroesā Hall. Then again, if Iām playing 3 cards, I probably wonāt draw both techād cards and can simply stash one next turn if needed. Guess Iāll go for it, with Scribes to replenish my hand. Seems interesting.

This would be a good time to have MTruth in hand, not worth trying to pull it with LSearch, though. Gotta pack my patrol zone a bit to guard against Rookās midband. As for my tech choicesā¦ I feel like continuing the draw cycle theme with Boot Camp, though I feel like Flagbearers should maybe be a higher priority, to guard against stuff like Graveās sword, Entangling Vines, and even Grappling Hook (which would be an even trade after collecting a patrol zone bonus).
