GG WP. I thought the worker trashing strategy might have been viable as P2, especially if I were careful to stockpile enough gold to drop Zane and a Detonate (or 2!) on turn 3 since it would be impossible for you to build your Tech II before that point. And, it seems like it could have worked, were it not for the improbable result of whiffing on both draws. Once I saw the double whiff, however, I knew I was in trouble, but I wanted to see if the strategy was recoverable in that situation, and in that highly disadvantageous situation, a sudden retool into Kidnapping seemed like it had the best potential to slow down tech II Present’s nutty burst damage (not being able to completely finish off that Hyperion when the time came was very concerning, however). Still, over a 10 game run, the worker trashing strategy might be worth trying since the majority of those (P2) games would be expected to not have that double whiff.

I expect to be unusually busy this weekend, so I’ll plan to start the next game on Monday unless I’m too exhausted to think clearly.

Yeah, looking back, I think your gameplan definitely could’ve worked if it wasn’t for the turn 3 whiff. I think Purple can counter that gameplan, but not the way I was playing - more with Seers and KotCs and maybe Geiger spells.

No worries about the next game, I’m in no rush :slight_smile:
