Damn, got both my teched cards with Boot Camp draws. Oh well, them’s the breaks. I might still see at least one of them in the next hand. I think destroying the Hall is pretty good especially since Hugh had to pay the tax for it. That’s an added benefit to Boot Camping the Inspector too since that will help it stick around. Also, given the hand, I’m not worried about Midori. I’m worried enough to not throw Oni up in Squad Leader as a wall, but enough that I don’t feel especially threatened keeping him alive. I can’t wait for Hugh to show me what I haven’t considered.

I have to kill Oni here. I can do that in a way that preserves Midori but I think my best option is to try and get teched up while I can. Arrest still gets him a tech break but at least the 4g outlay is paid and I could use Arg to wall up in that line.
He will be missed. Geiger will have to wake another one up from the clone vats.

Okay, we lost Onimaru but he had to trade a lot for that so it feels even to meeeeee. I don’t have what I need in to break a Tech building but I can set myself up nicely for it. Growth always comes with Blooming Ancients. If Hugh has one in hand, then I’m very likely losing nearly all of my illusions because he can spend 4 to hire the Ancient, 2 to get Argagarg and his wisp, 1 gold for a worker, and that leaves 2 gold for either Calamandra or a unit from hand. That will give him 3 runes, allowing him to destroy the Aven and probably Scavenger. He wouldn’t be able to target the Spectral Hound UNLESS he opts to skip worker. That’s the way I see it. I’m not as secure as I think it looks, but I’m not in a bad position since he has no units or heroes available, though what will I be able to do against the swarm he’s got a cooking. Actually, all of this depends on him having an Ancient in hand. I guess he might be in a worse position but that’s not been my experience with Hugh.

Oops, I forgot to account for Scavenger. Oh well, it still worked out for meeeeeeee, especially getting Hallucination off the Technician draw. I have cleared his board yet again AND destroyed BOTH of his tech buildings AND the Building Inspector is still in play to continue to tax him. I’m feeling very confident right now even though I had to skip a worker. On the other hand, any time I feel comforable and confident, Hugh finds some way to beat the brakes off me. I think his only answer will be Moment’s Peace, but I think I can answer that with Mind Control.

Well done, that was a great game well fought and a deserving win for you @flagrantangles 
I actually don’t know how much destroying Rich Earth contributed, since it happened later in the game but having some way to clear an upgrade gives you the tools to fight off MoLaC and it’s real nice that it combos with Dreamscape to kill off units.
The Oni pressure, into Bootcamp into Dreamscape + Hallucination and then Truth Tech II was just perfectly executed and I didn’t get anything going to fight back and take your stuff off the board. As I say, a well deserved win!

Let’s begin again. I don’t think destroying it was the linchpin, but I think having an answer to it and being able to pressure your gold with the sturdy building inspector and making it so you had to pay for workers again was helpful. I think Hallucination is likely a pretty desperate play against Might of Leaf and Claw, at least, it would be for me. Any of the times I can think of where you activated it, removing it wouldn’t have made an appreciable difference. You had the win in hand without it.

I think I’m mostly ok with him gambling on Community Service, I can play around that with Tech II Growth and I have the gold to get there right now. Being able to exhaust a hero is good but he’s not managed to take much advantage of it yet besides reducing my counter aggro a bit
