I think I need to kill Oni and trade a bunch into his board while teching up. I think FF is essential to let me get to Oni but then I have the choice of Young Treant, to keep my hand size up but leave him 5 attack on board, so I risk a tech break if he has Arrest in hand, or Rampant Growth to pop the Aven and avoid that risk entirely, but drop to 4 cards and only draw one from my deck. Getting out ahead on tech feels absolutely essential so let’s go for that and hope to draw well. If not I’ll still have an extra hero to play with, which should help a bunch with maintaining my Tech advantage

I thought that might have been it! Was a good game I thought, things feel a lot closer than before (but Growth is still pretty strong!).

I know you dont want to be treated as a definitive word on the changes, but I’m still interested how it feels for you on the Blue side now. A lot less frustrating than how it felt before the Shambler change? Or only a little better?

I don’t think I fear Porky’s ability too much

It does not feel especially different to me. Without the change, it seems like I just lose earlier more softly vs losing harder later with the change. I want to be able to say more but I lack the analytical prowess for this game that many of its players have demonstrated. How has it felt to you?

Maybe Porkhand Magistrate can protect the Newsman who prevents Hugh from casting Forest’s Favor and Rampant Growth, either of which he might have in hand and both of which are the easiest answers to dealing with the Magistrate. I considered bringing Quince out but Calamandra can get stealth to deal with that. I’m hoping to go into Hallucination and Dreamscape super fast keep him on the backfoot. Let’s see if that happens.

I think you’re right about it not being a massive change for the matchup. For me I have to be much smarter when you threaten Illusions in the early game but otherwise I’ve been able to tech up and try to beat you with Growth.

Maybe Porkhand Magistrate can protect the Newsman who prevents Hugh from casting Forest’s Favor and Rampant Growth, either of which he might have in hand and both of which are the easiest answers to dealing with the Magistrate. I considered bringing Quince out but Calamandra can get stealth to deal with that. I’m hoping to go into Hallucination and Dreamscape super fast keep him on the backfoot. Let’s see if that happens.

Okay, next turn could be impactful. I’ve got Dreamscape + Macciatus to buff my units. Maybe that can help withstand the onslaught of Growth. He’s only got Midori to work with next turn, well, in terms of attackers. I think I can withstand the coming storm. I can’t wait to see how Hugh surprises me. :laughing:
