Okay, Iā€™ve got my eye on [Necromancy]/Present/Blood now. You can stick with [Discipline]/Disease/Law; it does seem generally difficult to play around its combos. Iā€™d forgotten, but I think I did play that one before and really liked it.

Thoughts

Okay, my general strategy to start is to hold Haunt, Javelineer, and Imp in the Graveyard and worker my other staring units, while teching in spells. There are several combos to work towards, and Iā€™ll want to raise my hero limit quickly to enable them.: Nether Drain levels to Geiger to flicker the Imp or a naturally hasty unit, Kidnapping and then Temporal Distortion to bounce it before it returns to its ownerā€™s control, Drakk maxband and Warp Gate Disciple to guarantee at least one unit is warped in, Skeletal Lord + Drakk maxband to haste the summoned creature, etc. etc. Howeverā€¦ against that strong opening, and with this hand, thereā€™s no way I can safely work towards those goals, and no way I can offer a valuable defense to that attack, so best I can do is stall a bit and keep Garth available to cast spells next turn.
