Sparring Partner ‘A’ teaches Graves how to go for the jugular, giving him a +1/+1 rune.
L3 Graves (4/5) attacks Bigby AND Sparkshots the Building Inspector! Bigby dies, you get a gold. Building Inspector dies, you draw a card. Graves takes 2 damage and gains 2 levels.
Graves gains more 2 levels, going to max level and healing! - ($7)
Hire Sparring Partner ‘B’ - ($6)
Build a Surplus - ($1)
Whoah, sorry. I had already drawn off the surplus and workered him in a previous spreadsheet turn I was prepping. No Versatile Style for me. I didn’t notice til I looked at my hand and saw it was 6 cards…
Sorry about the mixup, I set up my turn then went to the store and thought I hadn’t drawn for my surplus (which is why I thought I got Versatile Style). Anyway, here is the real turn.
Tech 0 card(s)
Get Paid + float - ($11)
Draw a card for Surplus.
Hire Glorious Ninja - ($6)
Graves casts Sensei’s Advice on Sparring Partner ‘A’ and ‘B’ - ($5)
Glorious Ninja (4/3) swiftly attacks and kills SL Cadet before he can react.
Sparring Partner ‘A’ (3/2+A) attacks and kills Tech Cadet, taking 1 damage in the process. You draw a card.
Sparring Partner ‘B’ (3/2+A) attacks and trades with Drill Sergeant. You get a gold.
L7 Graves (5/6) attacks your Tech II (Peace) building, destroying it and dealing 2 damage to your base.
Build a Tower, destroying my Surplus. My base takes 2 damage. (Ouch, but necessary I think). - ($2)
Summon Setsuki - ($0)
@NikoBolas oh shit… of course i cannot hire Drill Sergeant… i need to change a bit, sry
so i got a good solution i think - i drew a card extra for playing Drill Sergeant… but this didn’t have any effects… i didn’t draw any Overeager Cadet, as I hoped anyway…
so i’ll take drill sergeant back on my hand, but i don’t discard it. instead i use bigby’s stash ability… now i have already 6 cards in my hand. so i’ll skip surplus at the beginning of my next turn… in case you destroy my surplus you probably also hit my technician and i would still have 6 cards. are you allright with this?
exciting game…

…I’m not happy with what I’ve drawn… no runes on drill sergeant to finish off Grave with my Spy…
Flagstone Spy attacks Grave anyway, dealing 4 damage and dying
I hope for the best
Sure, sounds fine to me! I think we are approaching an endgame anyway

Lol, I totally undersand. This game has gotten pretty hairy.
Ok @hardy83, this is not the best use of a sword rune, but I’m sick of getting Injunctioned!

Attack your base with my invisible force! Sparring Partner goes first and is Detected! He must attack the patrol zone. He attacks your SL and dies, dealing 1 damage. Your tower has used up its detection capabilities however…
Inivisible Glorious Ninjas 1+2 hit your base for 8, Setsuki hits for 4, Fox Viper hits for 2 dealing exactly 14 stealthy/invisible damage.
Whew, that was quite the game! I was really worried about Bigby and Judgement Day, as well as Community Service. That’s why my early tech was spells/sparring partner - things I wouldn’t mind you stealing or I wouldn’t mind buying over and over. I decided a hasty glorious ninja plan would be my finishing blow and it worked out…barely. Very good game man - that Flagstone Spy was super scary with your garrison/drill sergeant combo.
Fox’s Den School is quite scary, also the glorious ninja… wanted to get him with community service, and got the spell quick into hand, but this was in turn 7 i think, and then there were other things to do (like illegally hiring Drill Sergeant…)
a pitty I had to sacrifice my Spy to prevent Grave s Sword Rune…
Yeah, it was a desperation play for me to build that tower…but if I hadn’t your spy could have walked all over my base! Believe me, it was a pity using it to kill a level 1 hero. I think a newsman set to 2 would be really good against me since my favorite spells are Bird’s Nest, Hidden Ninja, and Versatile Style. But I think Blue is tough to play in general because it requires even more knowledge of your opponents’ decks and tendencies.
Edit: No, I’m ready for a change. I’ll try Green! Random.org says 94!
i really like switching colors… don’t know if this is a good strategy to improve your game… but i always fear to fall into the same patterns when i don’t switch colors. i believe i need some distance from the color i just played to clear my mind
i’ll try with black red then (hope you are ok with me changing my mind ;))… random.org says 88… phew, that was close again
