Honestly, we kinda foresaw that. The real pain is imho the Pillage on top of it (getting Scortch + Bombaster + Pillage + Deteriorate on the same turn :frowning: ).

Do we turn Mox into a Twilight Baron with MTruth and try to lower the pressure ? This means playing a Hero though. If we do so, Worker + Hero + Mtruth means having only 2 spare gold, so if we go that way, I suggest playing Bigby and stashing BK.

Anyway, we need to tech fully defensive. It appears Tax Collector would have been great after all…

Playing BS and Glaxx means we lose on Sacrifice the Weak and/or Hooded Executionner. I strongly support another solution - Glaxx and Fading Argonaut. 3 ATK Glaxx + Tower are enough to kill any attacker. An SQL Glaxx seems to be a good option, especially if an Argonaut backs it (in Tech/Scav) ?

For the same reason, we must play Traffic D. Immune to any Deteriorate draw, it protects BK if we decide to play him.

As for teching, I’d go for another Stewardess for Purple, and maybe a Seer for cheap blocking, or an Origin Story just in case; for Blue, depends on whether we choose Bigby + Truth or BK. In the first case, our turn 4 will cost quite much, so i’d go for second Cadet and Tax Collector. If we play BK and traffic D, we might want to build tech II quickly, so 2x Garrison might be an option, or Garrison + Cadet if you feel lucky (I don’t)

Manufactured truth can only change “your” unit, meaning a blue unit.

I think @Marto has a good plan here, go chump behind big tech 1s, tech in stewardess + seer and tax collector + oc or garrison. We need a little space to get blue on tech 2.

I don’t think we’ll likely need origin story next cycle, death rites isn’t likely and jaina is easy enough to kill in combat.

Seer seems good if we’re thinking of going to Tech 2 for Purple soon, but if we’re not spending that 4g in the near future, why not something beefier?

I’ve seen it used to great effect at tech 1 + Prynn, though against Red / Black it is probably less effective. More so I think it’s nice as it is low gold cost. If we stay at tech 1 awhile, using Prynn + TResearch could help us flood patrol and keep our buildings safe. I think it’s likely to trade up in patrol, and it provides us an alternate plan for our gold, which I always like to have in the deck.

I also think of all the ways for Purple to spend gold and NOT rush for tech 2, leveling Prynn + getting some card advantage to flood patrol is about as good a use of resources as we could in this matchup.

Against Skeletons, we drop Stewardess. Against something bigger, we drop Seer + Suits / other chumps. Seem reasonable?

Seriously they have 4 + 4 + 3 + 1 + 2 (but really Garth will have 3) damage on the board? Didn’t go down cards, got a tech 2 building, cleared us out AND dented our tower??

Purple can’t nullcraft pick Zane b/c of the Taxman, so I guess its Stewardess to peel skeleton, Fargo to help block, and… float 2 gold for tech 2 next turn? Or summon Vir just for extra blocking?

No idea on techs, that was an absolutely brutal turn and I feel like it’s just going to get worse.

Not sure if this is what you meant, but Nullcraft could actually fly over the patrol to kill Zane. It would just die to anti-air damage in the process.

I meant it’s not a great trade for us (2g + card for zane kill)

I really don’t know whether we should build and (try to) protect a Peace tech II, hoping to draw an early Garrison and wall off, or try to remove tempo as much as we can with Quince/Bigby + Arrest + Cadet + BK, discard 2, draw 4, and then build tech II on next turn, just before reshuffling.
