2HD: Team 1 Blue/Purple

I get the urge for Argonaut, but I agree that we are less likely to get the benefit from it given the high pressure they are likely to exert. I like Stewardess/Glaxx for Purple. Not sure about Blue techs at all. OC and Boot Camp seem as good as any to me, but I have suck lousy experience with Blue that im hesitant to say anything

Iā€™m also a fan of the Glaxx given our position and our mission with Purple. Iā€™d almost consider teching in Stewardess next round and put 2 Glaxxes in for now, or Glaxx + Argo.

Itā€™s my thinking that we need to play Battle Suits this cycle.

I agree with BC & OEC for Blueā€¦not b/c I think itā€™s our strongest position right now but b/c I think weā€™re best off sticking to the Peace build. Let Purple mount the reactive defense for now.

Okay looks like a consensus is building, Iā€™ll try to take point on drafting our turns until someone else wants to

##Blue
Tech Boot Camp, Overeager Cadet
Quince (4)
Building Inspector (3)
Worker Aven (2)
Tech 1 (1)
Float 1, DC 3 rs Draw 5

SQL Newsie, Scav Quince, Looky Inspector, Mirror Backline

##Purple
Tech Stewardess, Glaxx
Tower (2)
Worker Plasmo (1)
Tech 1 (0)
DC 4 Draw 5

SQL Mox

Plan for Blue is work towards Peace tech 2, Boot Camping for good trades or Mox if we can get mox attacking

Plan for Purple is to lay the Chunky blockers, assist in trades but generally stay defensive. Next Tech Glaxx Stewardess will probably be good as well, maybe Glaxx Origin Story if we see a HH out of Black

Any further discussion / objections?

  • Proceed with this turn
  • Not sure but donā€™t block a consensus
  • Block team, NEEDS further discussion

Should we put Mox in lookout? Is the extra HP in SQL buying us anything assuming we donā€™t get Deterioriated?

SQL means they must deal with Mow before hitting non-SQL blue patrollers. So putting it in SQL is mandatory imho. Edit: at worst, they use a card to disable Mox, and as far as we can tell, the tower prevents any really good trade for them ?

Iā€™m not sure weā€™ll have any way to attack with Mox and/or have enough momentum to use BC on the first reshuffle, so I would highly suggest to wait for turn 3 to tech it and try to get some blockers before we break under their agression; but if everyone else agrees, Iā€™ll follow.
Full agreement with the rest

The point about Boot Camp is reasonable - taking advantage of the momentum it provides sounds difficult right now. What would our tech be in its place? Second Cadet is easy on gold, while a Brave Knight could provide a lot of blocking stats, M. Truth tricks, etc., and be a little resilient to burn and Doom Grasps. Or something nutty like Tax Collector?!

The rest of the turn looks good.

How well does BK fit into the Peace Tech 2 plan? If well or very well, Iā€™d consider it a possibility. If not-so-well, Iā€™d prefer to stick with Boot Camp or tech the 2nd OEC.

Play BK, draw with Garrison/rune with Sergent, Manufacturing truth any Cadet/inspector into a BK, trade that fake BK, Cadet goes back into hand, replay Cadet so he can patrol, draw with Garrison/rune with Sergent.
But that costs 3 gold.
Maybe Tax Collector might fit better, to be honest. 2 v 2 means Collector as twice his usual impact. Tax Collector + Cadet may be a good option ?

Tax collector still targets a single opponent, even in 2v2.

Indeed, but we are more likely to have gold floating against 2 opponents than 1.

Iā€™m cool with Tax Collector or Scribe > Boot Camp for the first cycle.

Black spends early gold better than just about anybody. I would bet against them floating, and I donā€™t see how weā€™d spend that gold anyway.

I havenā€™t mathed it all out, and I know weā€™re down due to Purpleā€™s unhelpful hand this round, but it seems concerning to me to try and wall up with both of our specs. As P1, I think we can afford slightly more expensive cards this cycle, so Iā€™d lean towards the BK if we want a unit. I know they have their answers, but Iā€™d like to make them use them. Scribe + OEC just seems like so little threatā€¦it doesnā€™t force them to respond; instead they can comfortably put out their Tech 2 and build up so they have more of a chance to wash over us with Death and Fire.

It looks like only point of contention is Blueā€™s second teched card, put it to a vote below:

What should Blue tech?

  • Overeager Cadet + Boot Camp
  • Overeager Cadet + Tax Collector
  • Overeager Cadet + Brave Knight
  • Other

I guess that could be worseā€¦ Blue has BK, we can Manufacture into Glaxx or BK, depending. I suppose weā€™re going to worker Porkhand Magistrate ?

Purple will miss Stewardess, but Gilded Glaxx should provide some defense, at least. Probably workering Temporal Research ? Maybe Battle Suits, or summoning a hero if we believe our patrols are strong enough to allow that (depends on red/blackā€™s turn anyway) ?

Definitely depends on Team2ā€™s turn.

I would think weā€™d worker Time Spiral for purple, as Research is great in case we need to dig for an answer or spam low-cost cards, and I feel its unlikely weā€™re going for a rune-centric build.

Seer is easy to tech to replace it and leaves a body around, TResearch we canā€™t easily replace its effect in the deck, though if we go for Hyperions it obviously becomes less useful and we can worker it later. Since we want Mox to stick around awhile, weā€™re likely to stay on Tech 1 an extra cycle, so Seer + TResearch allows us to spam units nicely, and still play with Prynn for trashing stuff, create some tempo

The numbering indicates the order of actions between players, but I am going to continue grouping all actions for each player together for my own convenience.

@zhavier I donā€™t see Black building tech 1, do they have it or no?

My first thoughts are ouch :frowning: we lost our entire board eh?

Purple will probably go Glaxx + Suits, Blue goes BK? Their tag team is legit scaryā€¦

They built tech 1 on Turn 1, otherwise they would not have been able to summon Twilight Baron. It was listed in their turn summary.

I also agree, that turn was ouch
