It was not a kill on Rook I was expecting, and I think you overextended a little to get it. Certainly it messed with me a bit (I was planning to play Birds on the next turn), but going down empty on cards is tough for Truth; gold isn’t tight with Truth, but cards are. If you’re aiming for truth you have to be a little more conservative on cards that way.

This feels pretty even to me at the moment, and as codex players go, I clearly have a really good feel for these things!

Well I’m looking at a Glorious Ninja next turn… they’re so fun. And with Sensei out, he can Tech break with it… and I can… not do a whole lot about it. Even without Aged Sensei he could play Senei’s Advice from hand…

I can’t afford to play Scribe, and my hand size stays low, and there’s still a chance he can Tech break with GN.

@Akiata I’m really confused why you would give the levels to Oni and not Bigby; are you sure that’s what you want? Keep in mind, my birds don’t die when the bird’s nest drops, they still remain on the field until they are killed

Thoughts

Sensei’s advice to the Birds was something I definitely should have thought about - but as above, I didn’t. Then again, not a lot I could have done about it - except Free Speech perhaps, but idk.

Max level Setsuki… oof.

Really don’t have the funds to build Tech III this turn I doen’t think. Worker+TechIII leaves me 3 to spend. Gotta play Macciatus, and I could squeeze out a Hound. Leaving me with Hound (4/4), Reteller (4/4), Bigby (3/4) and Macciatus (3/3) vs Birb (1/1), Birb (1/1), Sets (3/4, swift), Porcupine (2/6, deathtouch), Morningstar (2/2), Aged Sensei (1/1), Fox Primus (3/2). Yeah, I’ll lose all my guys…

So…

Paid ($9) Maciatus ($7), Tiger ($4), Aven ($2), and… Quince I think, extra bodies means the Tower does more work, and I keep one card in hand for card draw. Plus, unlikely to see Gryphon’s next hand, possible though.

Fact is, on his turn Frozen could potentially play any non-ult spell in his codex, and COULD play Sets’ Ult (which would probably win the game). I’m basically just hoping for the best here.
