The good news is blue starter is favoured vs purple starter. The bad news is I don’t have onimaru to make that super true. Also he can purple peace (actually wait, purple peace isn’t busted anymore since the nerf). He also has really cheap targeting effects for my hounds, but I might just get them anyway.
Not sure what my tech 2 plan is here, we’ll just wait and see for now. Wish I had a good combat hero.
Indeed stronger decks than I’ve had so far in the tourney on both sides though I agree mine’s more straight-forward in power (despite the BS nerf). GL HF @Bryce_The_Rice !

Juggermox too slow here? I drew everything I wanna play first cycle, little tough, but I think I bring out Oni and try to score some levels off that Jaina. Mox next turn otherwise

I’m kind of trying to goad him into an onimaru play, with hopes to get efficient hounds onto the board. However, if I guess wrong, he may respond with boot camps and ruin my day. We’ll see what happens.
I thought about grabbing free speech, but newsman should serve the same purpose for now. It may be necessary next tech, although it may be too late by then. I’m playing a dangerous game, I know, but it might just pay off big.

That’s a heavy drop, I’ll BC the Aven and kill SQL then play for Elite Training and teching up next turn. Should be nicely setting up the garrison.
…
What the hell, reshuffle?? Why you give me Garrison and not OC or Fargo or Boot Camp??? What a jerk! Well maybe we’ll be maxbanding Rook next turn…
I could’ve taken an oni kill this turn, but it would require going to zero hand, which I’ve learned is often a bad idea. So instead, I’ll just try to play void star next turn, which should pose him quite a few problems.
Really sucks I didn’t draw the Garrison well, woulda been so nice to have Fargo or BC or something… Elite Training may prove very useful for Future but I suspect the plan is Quince + Omegacron surprise win, let’s hope we’re able to keep that shut down & overwhelmed. Teching Bird’s Nest for additional flight safety
I think the angle here is to max out Rook, plenty of hero levels available to do it, he makes a great SQL against Omegacron or Lobbers, keeps Oni safe so I can elite training the void star away, keeps rook safe for bird’s nest (hopefully I get neither of those on the boot camp RS), and I set myself up to have a very good chance to crumble buildings next turn, and a backup of peace engine. Solid, like it, let’s move
…
Ok, one earthquake in the RS, that’s fine, should still draw it for next turn, didn’t want to play anything anyway and it wasn’t the elite training or Bird’s nest I wanna keep for next turn.
…
Cmon, man… missed elite AND earthquake?? Let’s hope I can stay alive for a hole nuther turn… At least have a 50/50 to pull up the elite training.

Not ideal, I really wish I’d had a xenostalker for defence here. However, I can probably lay down a second void star next turn, which will put a lot of pressure on them. I just have to not lose before I can bring my threats to bear…
Bummer I can’t quake here, but I can at least get a Garrison out and kill important things. Teching OC and Argo.
…
Bird’s Nest nerf is gonna hurt here with that Elite Training draw, hopefully no big cards though and we can earthquake and roll here.
Threats on the board, they do have a garrison though so I’m on a strict timer. The xenostalker will buy some time for me to steal a garrison myself, and maybe I can turn that into some strong momentum.

My Thoughts
Well hopefully I should be able to have a good chance of getting Elite Training and killing a buncha stuff, think I’m almost guaranteed to draw down if I boot camp Xeno. We’ll see, DS and Boulder tech for next round, no Earthquake for now.
…
Nice, got the elite right away, there’s a lot of different ways I can kill a lotta things. I think leaving one Void Star up w/ both Birds patrolling and an anti-air ready to kill it puts me in good position. I like my chances a lot here
