Feels like good trades, with a tower to prevent stealthiness. I think I have to worker, or I’ll be too far behind… besides I want to be able to afford Barons. With workering the Gargoyle I’m really commited to Orpal+Barons for this draw. Interesting!
But it’s still an attack, and armor defends against attacks, so one -1/-1 rune doesn’t take effect. That’s why the ability on Poisonblade Rogue is worded the way it is.
So I have to use inference from the wording on another card to figure out a non-intuitive way that my hero works? Really?
This should be a card-specific ruling on the codex card db site.
Because I’ve seen my next hand that would effect my decision if I’m to change strategy.
I can cast Sickness first to make the same thing work (it was in my hand and I had a 2 float), and I’ll randomly decide which card from my current hand goes back in my deck… the 4th.
Yeah, I couldn’t find a ruling in the database either. Safest bet would be to wait for a ruling by one of the tournament’s judges. They could also tell us what to do about the cards you’ve drawn at the end of the turn.
Dreamfire and bomber are correct here, armor prevents a damage from being done, whether Orpal deals damage normally, -1/-1, or as pizza slices is irrelevant as one of the damage is prevented.
You are welcome to replay your turn to fix the error @OffKilter you just need to redraw your hand. You should be able to run Ctrl+z on your spreadsheet to back it up (or use Google docs version control). Using Sickness to achieve the kill would also have your TB survive, seems a decent proposal anyway
Yeah, I didn’t doubt that Dreamfire was correct after thinking through the logic. It just took me 10 minutes to get there. Having a card specific ruling on this would have helped.
I’ll go with my plan to play sickness to fix the turn.
because (hidden)
the hand I drew is really bad and it feels unfair to get a chance to redraw it because of a mistake. I’m curious to see if I can survive off of it!
Even though your manner is humble, my understanding is that you HAVE to redraw the hand, you must not keep the hand and reduce it’s size by putting a random card back to the deck.
(Sorry for interrupting in case I just misunderstood your spoiler)
@FrozenStorm : a clarification would be appreciated
This is correct. Regardless if the new hand was fantastic or a whiff, if you’re backing up you just automatically redraw it to avoid the bias of wanting to redraw if you whiff vs not wanting to if you hit jackpot

Thoughts
I think this would be a decent defense in case of Pirate Gunship. It’s super akward having double twilight barons in the hand before my tech 2 gets drawn…
