Technically the rule is “Tower deals damage at the same time as the attacker.”

I’m pretty sure there’s a ruling out there that you resolve Swift strike first (to determine if damage is dealt back) then tower.

I don’t see how these would work out differently.

i think it would matter since nullcraft would just die from tower without applying ping of damage vs hitting centaur for 1 then dying from tower. that’s the only reason i bring it up. i think frozenstorm told me about this a ways back. ill try and find the link.

Ferocity only grants units Swift Strike. Thus the Tower is not swift - so all’s well.
