So I have no way to deal with Nullcraft, this is fine. I have to make sure that I survive FrozenStorm’s full attack while also putting FrozenStorm out of the running, because bansa is the only player who I have a chance of standing up to. I might have to hope that bansa teched Ready or Not or hung on to Time Spiral, but the latter is very unlikely. Otherwise, that Fading Argonaut ruins me because I can’t protect myself against it. If Fading Argonaut is out of the picture, Glorious Ninja tanks everything except Onimaru Art of War. Pity that Snapback is in my discard. Do I ever FDS, Glorious, trade Glorious with Onimaru to stop Swift Strike, ping Frozen 2x with FDS, then stuff things in my patrol zone? I think that has to be the play maybe.

Thoughts

Well I didn’t expect that much burst! But I think I can keep things safe now. Glorious plus FDS means I kill squad leader and Elite with swift strike, Rook and some ninja can kill Onimaru to prevent Boot Camp. I’m most worried about Versatile style healing, Now!, and Nullcraft. However, Glorious Ninja and Setsuki having swift strike means I’m building board advantage as I deal chip damage, so I think I win this war of attrition.

Oh, I always forget that, I just mentally put it down as “Everything gets hit by Tower” but it does stipulate. “That it can see”. I don’t know if that changes bansa’s turn, although I guess the quad heal is required here. That gives me back, 3 tokens?

One ninja to proc tower, Rook can slam in past the mox, Glorious Ninja is 4 more, three ninja for 3 more, that’s 10 so far. FDS adds 4 more, 14. Sparring Partner taps and then I get three refreshes, for 4 more base damage. I can instead tap twice and have 4 gold left, this lets me Fox Viper and Sensei’s Advice, I lose 2 damage and gain 4 damage. I think that’s lethal? Let me count up again. Sparring Partner buffs two ninja. After one ninja procs stealth, wait I can just exhaust Mox with Glorious Ninja which puts Setsuki on the table for damage. I slap in with 8 ninja tokens, Setsuki and rook, that’s 14 damage, sparring partner takes it to 16 and then I refresh to put a run on someone to make it 17 damage, Sensei’s Advice adds 2 more damage, to 19, 2 gold for Sparring to tap and lethal!

That’s why I tried to shut it down in game 1, and why I was surprised to see people pass up the chance to kill Setsuki after I cleared the way to her in game 2.

Ah I messed up, but it’s fixable. I can just target Glorious Ninja with Sensei’s Advice to give it the extra attack needed, and then play Fox Viper instead of one of those Sparring Partner taps, which gives me back that point of damage.

I ran out of money, otherwise I would have, and charnel having judgment day just felt like the more likely destroyer of my plan…

I honestly didn’t expect bansa to be able to finish you off! I was just hoping to not die from your counterattack, contingent on bansa having Time Spiral or Ready or Not available.

Also, I realized in hindsight that I could have loaned Glorious Ninja to bansa on a prior turn to actually banish Juggermox for good.

GG WP! That was an interesting game. FFA mode can put you into this funny situation where you can’t win but you can pick who to win :smile: No hard feelings tho. I thought eliminating Frozen was the only way to at least have a slight chance.

I thought about using the last Hammer on Carpe’s base instead, handing over the baton to Frozen to decide. But I just don’t like having too many variables, hence the executive decision. :blush:
