Yep, “your” means controller, and control really does transfer when you lend units.

Lmao That’s… Evil

Thoughts

Sigh, why was I such a dummy when I teched. Prynn OS to bounce Rook, Vir can kill Jandra, orr I could do a fancy Vir swap if I’m okay losing Stewardess. That effectively draws me a card, which might be more important here. I can throw down a Hyperion into my tech slot, too.

@charnel_mouse’s turn!

Personally, I would choose to think of being set up for a play as someone helping me do what I want rather than me playing into someone’s hands, but to each his own.

Shouldn’t this give you 3 gold for all the opposing units dying?

I assume you mean FrozenStorm’s Rook?

He indicated as much on the board state sheet

Yes to both, uh I actually forgot the gold, I’ll just midband Prynn.

Thoughts

Damn, I gambled on keeping the Ancients up, and got blown up for my troubles. The Black starter is so nasty in FFA. I don’t see any outstanding targets out for the Insurance Agents, either.

The choice is between sidelining Carpe’s Mox to kill off the Plasmodium, which is only worth 2 gold per agent, or insuring the Banefire Golem and hoping FrozenStorm can’t kill both the Agents and the Golem. Might be able to do both, actually: double insurance on the Golem loses 2 gold to the gold limit, so I can insure it, have that Agent copy the Lobber and survive sidelining the Mox, then have the other Agent insure the Plasmodium before my true Lobber kills it. That’s 2g+3c, then I can still worker and maxband Argagarg for a Water Elemental on patrol.

Alternatively, I have something copy the Plasmodium! That gives me 2 (Lobber) + 4 (Plasmodium) + 1 (Arg attack/boost), which is unfortunately not quite enough to take down the Golem myself. However, it lets me get Plasmodium insurance while also hitting a more immediate neighbour hard. I could trade Lobber / Plasmodium into Argagarg, which costs 1g+3c with full insurance, and gets Argagarg to midband. Arg could then kill Frozen’s Wisp, which rebates all my spent gold. I’ll still go down on cards once I get a worker + whatever else, depending on which card I draw post-reshuffle, but I’d be in really good shape for gold. I wouldn’t get a massive insurance bonus from the Golem, but I don’t really have good ways to spend that much, unless I go for Tech III and invite Prynn to banish my Gryphons all day. I’m strongly considering teching in Community Service, to see if I can pinch that Golem, but I don’t want to get caught drawing that along with my Ancients, even if my cheap units would provide a lot of Golem ability fuel. I’ll go for another Scribe, and for Stampede, in case I can make my small units stick but not my Ancients.

And a lot of gold, Lobber + copied Plasmodium + Argagarg was one damage off killing a double-insured Banefire Golem :frowning:

Um, actually… I don’t see why plasmodium dies here. Doesn’t arg only do 1 damage?

And yes, the tower does one more, but manufactured truth copies the printed card; damage is not copied.

Ah, bugger. Sorry, I’ll redo.

The Building Inspector will die at the end of the turn, when its stats revert and still has 2 points of damage, but that happens after the draw/discard phase, which makes a difference in the case of a reshuffle.

So I don’t have win conditions left here… I’m down to make alliances. I can technically kill the Golem but what’s that worth to others? Why shouldn’t I just join the dark side here after I laid out vandy and ya’ll come to mess my things up anyway?

Oh, I’m very happy for you to kill the Golem, if you don’t kill the Agent insuring it first. But what do you get out of it?

you haven’t updated your last post to say whats happening with regards to the redo from BI (Plasmo) not trading with arg. I assume its insuring the Golem then?

Yeah, I haven’t redone yet. Haven’t had a block of time to sit down and do it. Might depend on what FrozenStorm decides here.

Kind of unfortunate that charnel can’t offer to lend Frozen patrollers, due to seating positions…
