I don’t know exactly what combos his deck is going to rely on, seems pretty aggressive though, and several ways to cheat stuff from his codex. my real plan for this spec is to get out some big protoss units :-D. peace is here for early defense and feral is for possibly using Calas ultimate for the fleet. I don’t plan on needing tech lab so may go with the tower for early defense.

Almost forgot about assimilate, should have just workered tree last turn, oh well. Again, battle suits plus nullcraft kills Cala, or I could be a little crazy and play young treant and hope I don’t draw either tech. Also, he could try and kill cala with forgotten fighter, but that doesn’t leave enough gold to kill cala behind the patrol.

Zane and Sharks, 1 shark moves mox, 1 shark kills cadet, zane and taxman kill tech 2, 7g. I could grab gargoyle and setup for next turn, but he has 1+2+3 damage. And then there is the question of whether he is ever going to grab a hero and surprise me with a spell… then again 2 units, chances are good he hasn’t teched a spell yet. The most surprising thing he could do would be unphase the mox, because that would hurt a little, depending which hero he killed. I suppose also behind the ferns, but again unlikely.

This is a bit of a rough spot I’ve gotten myself into. What I really needed was 2 surprise attacks :P. I could grab a tiger with Calamandra and kill his with Taxman, skip a worker, and have a tiger and a treant in patrol. He would have 1+1+2+4 against my 5+1, he would be able to kill zane or taxman easily, and I would be left with just Cala potentially. I could bounce the brave knight and leave his Calamandra, but that opens me up to all her shenanigans. Brave Knight I can sorta deal with. going down on cards to get blockers, :confused:

Really? I was waiting for the hammer to drop with some huge feral strike play. I underestimated how strong a big patroller with swift strike can be.

If you look at my hand, you will see I really had no reasonable play there. My tech choices were a little screwy, I think.

Also, you may not have realized that indestructible things still deal their damage, even against something with swift strike, so you could have killed things the way I had patrolled. What I should have done was patrol Twilight in SQL to avoid such shenanigans. But even then, my next hand was not salvageable.

Thoughts

That last game was really screwy. I need to figure out how to deal with the purple starter better here.

It’s funny how straight forward this game is generally then how muddy a few mechanics get, like indestructable.

I didn’t realize you had just started a new game in here- sure. I’d like to switch spec though… I wanted to do Some sort of Protoss fleet shinanegans but don’t think this deck is the way to pull it off.
