I’m into this. We can set up for Manufactured Truth into an Aven or Spectral Hound next turn and that gives us an awful lot of flexibility. Hugh would have to maxband Midori in order to kill Quince or the Mirror Illusion and that would put him back a lot so I don’t think he’ll do that.

I’m less concerned about the free levels on Quince actually, still laser focussed on Teching up and keeping his board from getting too overwhelming. Blooming Elm for hero play and Giant Panda since they actually work really well with Growth and vs Truth. I just need bodies, any bodies for my Growth engine. Cards would help too!

With this patrol and Maxband Calamandra I think I have to play for Feral Strike, despite the face up Free Speech. Other thought was Tech Lab and Fairie Dragons as pivoting to Bigby to Injunction costs 5g. Both seemed good but I like the raw threat of this line.

Okay, if he put Calamandra in SQL and didn’t already kill the Aven, that tells me that Rampant Growth is likely expected in his next hand so we should try to get the damage while we can.
