Ok, I will give you some coaching. If you don’t want it just let me know.
Killing the hero without skipping tech1 will already decide some games. You have to be very careful, especially neutral starter is tricky. As P1 you need to keep the board control. As player 2 you try to defend with the gold advantage. P1 has usually an advantage. Now you lost the board control and I am 6g ahead, and they are well invested in Drakk. Only disadvantage: I cannot profit from levels any more so you can sacrifice heroes. If you had hook on your hand, killing Brother on lookout and level grave would have been your best option. Playing tech lab so early is completely useless. You don’t even know yet if you will need a tower. In general ignore tech lab in the beginning, since it is only for very few top strategies useful.

Ok, with no hook an option would have been to bring a unit with 2 defense in Sl. But I know the beginning is not easy, since there is so much to consider. I will give you three simple rules from this game so far that you can follow until you think you know it better:
- Forget about Tech Lab, Heroes Hall and especially Surplus.
- Never skip a worker before you have tech 2. There are very very few situations where it makes sense.
- Don’t skip a worker until you have 10. This will dillute your deck and put your economy behind. 2 exceptions:
a. It allows you a move that will probably win you the game.
b. You have no other choice. But probably you will lose then anyway.
(I will deviate from rule three since I am testing a very special strategy)
Now you are very much in the defense with the Boulder but you are not winning the tech race. Usually I would tech fire bring the firebird you could hardly avoid a repeated tech 2 break with bird drakk, bomber and thief. But since I want to test, I will play not optimal against your two rocks.
