Well, that Ironbark is just asking to be bounced. I don’t want to double up on Stewardesses though, since they don’t match up well against Tiny B’s and Firebats.

I wonder if I can get away with Spectral Hounds here, it would put me in a much better board position if Dreamfire hasn’t taken a Thunderclap. They go well with Midori, too, if it comes to that. Putting Ironbark Treant in Lookout, because there’s a good chance Dreamfire took a Stewardess to bounce it: paying the resist cost means he can’t then midband Rook and kill Midori.

Tricky turn here. If I tech up, Dreamfire’s board can hit me pretty hard. Alternatively, I midband Midori and take out Rook, then leave Merfolk Prospector on patrol. I might lose him to Snapback, but with Rook dead that costs 6 gold. Even with all that float, Dreamfire can’t do that and tech up.
Tech-wise, I don’t know whether I should go for Midori Truth engine, or focus on deathtouch. Strength is the only spec with a high amount of health on defence, and Dreamfire’s on the offensive at the moment, so I’ll guess that he’s going for Anarchy or Past. Truth it is.
EDIT: He might be able to tech up while killing Midori with a Zane. Fingers crossed.

Not unexpected, but still painful. I think I just tech up and hope for not too much hasted stealth damage coming my way. Thinking of teching in Moment’s Peace next to give me time to build a good board, I’m going down on cards to fit in that last teching round.
Merfolk Prospector in Scavenger guarantees I can afford worker + midband Midori + Spectral Tiger next turn.

I’ve tried a few attempts to make them work, but I think my only success was in this thread using [Law]/Present/Anarchy with the goal of using Sanatorium to get discount units in play and Insurance Agent to get paid when they died at end of turn for most units, and to drop in Immortals which wouldn’t be able to patrol with ephemeral, but could attack each turn thanks to haste… until Geiger maxband eventually flickers after an attack so they can start patrolling. The challenge, as always, is applying enough pressure to drop the Sanatoriums and have them actually survive the opponent’s next turn.
Well, you’ve got at least one turn for Sanitorium to fire, hit me.

Ooh, wasn’t expecting Sanitorium. Nature Reclaims is the obvious answer, but Moment’s Peace is also pretty good outside of Whitestar Grapplers, and it would help me hit critical illusion mass.
I can do worker + Midbandori + Tiger. Alternatively, I can do worker + Young Treant + Midori + Tiger + Quince, to give myself a larger patrol. That gives me more chance of Midori surviving to take to the air, assuming Dreamfire is going straight for Strength units instead of Anarchy II. Let’s do it.

I’ve got 4/7 odds to draw something good with Sanatorium, which just isn’t good enough. So I’ll bring Zane in first for another draw.

Moment’s Peace
Thoughts
Painful Tech II break, thankfully I got Moment’s Peace on the Technician draw rather than the other Tiger. I’m going to risk killing Rook instead of destroying the Sanitorium, since it can’t do much with Moment’s Peace up. Have a Grappler come out and wrestle the Mirror? Whatever. Calypso could move Quince out of the way for killing Midori, but I don’t expect to see that.
Killing Rook also lets me afford both midband on Midori and maxband on Quince. The latter is essential for insuring Quince takes two attackers to kill, since Grappling Hook could remove the Squad Leader armour. No Birds, either, so Midori should survive to fly over and destroy the Sanitorium / boost some Illusions next turn. If there’s no Morningstar Pass, at least, I can’t get too greedy on delaying destruction of Sanitorium.
Grappling Hook might make me reshuffle, is there anything I want on this next cycle? Probably the other copies of Macciatus and Reteller.

Bah, Sanatorium only drew me Fox Viper. I could haste it and Grappler and get a tech break, but I think I’d rather worker and patrol them, respectively.
