Okay… I’ve got a Taxman now, but keeping it alive long enough to fight the Aven is going to be a challenge… Onimaru can midband and kill it, even in SQL… in which case maximizing retaliatory damage is probably the way to go, and I’ll need to block Elite Training and Arrest… hopefully, he won’t use Boot Camp. But, to patrol as SQL or Elite? Can he afford to maxband Oni next turn? Yes, in which case I should be prepared to deal 5 total damage in response. As for tech choices… I’m not likely to draw both teched cards next turn, and there’s a fair chance I won’t draw either, so I’ll be optimistic and assume I’ll have a chance to build my Tech II next turn.

Thoughts
The Tower is a bane to me so let’s get rid of that over Geiger, especially since Nekoatl might still have Manufactured Truth around to pull some of the same shenanigans I did.
This is getting dicey… I’m not sure I have enough leeway to aim for Sanatorium now, but I feel like stalling tech progress to shore up my defense is going to be a losing proposition, so I’ll just have to try to create some leeway later… and to do that, I should probably need something with more aggressive potential than a building… Chameleons seem like a good option, considering they can bounce back to hand between the reshuffle/draw and ephemeral’s trigger. I’ll also likely need the Newsman to protect me from Art of War, in which case I need it to be killed and replayed.

I’m unlikely to get my only Tech II unit so I’m okay with delaying building it.
This is getting really dicey… my defense has collapsed, but I can at least provide a variety of targets to choose from, at least, I’m pretty sure my base isn’t about to take a hit… and at least I don’t have any immediate concern of giving away free levels from hero kills. I’m really not sure what I should be teching right now, but Jurisdiction offers flexibility, at least…

Guess I should take this opportunity to lock down his Tech II, both to prevent a replay of the bounced units and to prevent his Tech III from going up next turn. So long as he doesn’t build a Tower (and so long as I don’t get hit by Injunction myself), the Lizzo I’m stashing should allow me to break his Tech II next turn. Now, the question is, do I drop the Taxman, or do I drop the Newsman (and if so, with what value)? Hmm… I think being able to punch through his patrol in case a Tower catches the Lizzo is more important right now, as spells are sometimes not in hand, but the Tower is always an option.
