I don’t want to waste the card draw after midbanding Zane, but that means delaying my Tech I and therefore my Tech II… but, I think I can make that work if I use Detonate to stall, and slowing the game down should work in my favor with the P2 gold advantage… theoretically.

I’m worried about MTruth/Aven now, but with this widened income gap, I’ll gain more of an advantage as the game drags on, so short-term setbacks are less of a concern. However, I want a way to push back against my opponent’s superior ability to deploy units, and Sharks seem to be the only option at the moment.

Thoughts
A tough call here between the Magistrate and the Tower, but I don’t want to let his units survive attacking mine. As for tech choices… Taxmen are an obvious choice, but Injunction is tempting for reasons I can’t quite pin down. I know from past experience, Injunction creates econ problems because it’s fairly expensive and doesn’t actually cost the opponent any reasources, it just redirects their gold to heroes and infrastructure. Maybe I feel like I can leverage my worker advantage to pull off a tech lockdown? But even if I went that route, I don’t have an answer to the obvious counter of The Art of War exposing Bigby, so that seems like a dead-end. Guess I’ll just go for Taxmen after all.

Not really worth spending the $7 on a surprise attack against those relatively unthreatening units, will take the chance to tech up free of Building Inspector interference instead.

Thoughts
Okay, my heroes are crippled, but that’s enhancing my econ advantage… just gotta leverage it to deploy strong, hasty units… I suppose I could steal the scavenger float gold, but the Mirror is potentially a much greater threat so I’ll prioritize taking it down.
Yeah, Blue doesn’t have great options for dealing with buildings and tech III units, aside from brute force, and brute force is hard to manage when at an econ disadvantage. After I got lucky with being able to fire off both Detonates right away, that was a very difficult situation to recover from, thought maybe Insurance Agents could counterbalance that if you could find a way to get some big payouts from them. GG WP!

I’ll prioritize Geiger’s sparkshot over Bigby’s spellcasting ability again, in part because it’s been working so far, and in part because spells and the Aven are less valuable with only 1 compatible hero and no access to Macciatus.

I’m on the fence about whether or not to drop the Director here, but despite it not having any immediate utility, having more stuff on the board could lead to having more options later on, so I’ll give it a try.

Okay, I was thinking we’d have to give Onimaru 2 levels to prevent Zane suicides, but having Geiger out AND no heroes’ hall means that what I’m expecting isn’t possible right now anyway.
