Opening with River for the potential for free tech 0 units. No point in patrolling T1 against Purple starter. I want to get my expensive tech 0s workered quickly since they’re prime targets to bounce.

He says this codex is built to be anti purple, and I can understand why he thinks that, all the the specs have some way of annoying purple’s early/mid game plan. But all that does is slow me down, and it costs more gold/resources for him to stop me then it does for me to do something, So I think he will end up just losing board control and dieing from units. Should be an interesting match at least.
It’s fine. I usually don’t because I have a tendency to play multiple games per thread, not always sticking with the same specs. I guess I should get in the habit of adding specs to the initial post.

Well he took the bait, forgot that he could attack to remove the patrol bonuses, so it wasn’t an even 3 for 3 gold, but good enough, I basically paid a gold to thin my deck, which is quite nice. Put out the battlesuits now and see if we can tempt the hero’s hall into midori or the suicide of River. He has options for nice trades with rivier, but its slow if he doesn’t want her to die to nullcraft and I can exploit that. Either way he’s unlikely to develop much board making me free to play tech 1 unit + Tech 2 next turn to apply the pressure.
Double Fencer (Likely to be his first techs, so unlikely to have 2 of next turn) is needed for Tech 2 breakage, but I can just chump up the following turn as he won’t have a tech 2 of his own. My tech 1’s are bigger then his and with patrol zone bonuses I don’t see him managing to keep my tech 2 down while building his own in the near future. And with a lack of card draw I don’t worry about a tech 0 unit spam from max river

He passed up the chance to bounce the Mox, so it looks like I won’t need Wither again. I want to build a Tech II, but I can’t do it and take down his Tech II this turn, so I’ll wait. If he doesn’t have Nullcraft, attacking with River is probably my best bet, but I’d lose her if he does. Technician makes it likely unless it’s been workered. Between that and the possibility of bouncing a patroller, defending is a bit tricky, but I think the way to deal with it is just flood the board. However, I want to draw at least 3 cards next turn, so I need to keep 1 in hand.

He had the double fencer, oh well, go to plan 2, flood the board. Put out vir as he can’t use the level, and allows me to guarantee a tech 2 unit next turn, and grabbing an Argo is just nice. Annoying I can’t make a worker as well, but I made my tech 2 on time, so although the later techs will be annoying and the lack of gold double so, the increased protection is nice.

Not going to lie, was not expecting the double starlet, which makes this turn a lot more painful then it should be. They are however now out of cards, so stabilisation should start to occur. Annoying though that they get the first tech 2 on the field…

Yeah, I wasn’t satisfied with my performance and would like to see if I can improve with another try.
As for countering Purple: Finesse’s cost reductions, the various sources of haste, and the build’s complete lack of tokens reduce the effectiveness of bouncing units. Wither effectively deals with the Mox. Basilisks enhanced by swift strike make Immortals much less threatening, as well as making useful patrollers in general. There’s nothing in the build that needs to be avoided for fear of Assimilate. Balance has removal for Battle Suits and Second Chances. It’s probably not the strongest possible counter (I slapped it together fairly quickly), but it seems like a decent toolbox without any particular vulnerability to Purple’s signature tricks.
on 1 thing ur wrong. deathtouch and swift strike do squat to indestructibles. They do not die, just get exausted so they can still deal dmg back, so both tiny B and big B would take full dmg back
