GG, I had to bet on what you had in your hand, and I chose wrong I was sad I didn’t have any haste units last turn, or I think I might have been able to keep you off Tech I
Yeah, I should have done. I hadn’t thought about River sidelining Bombaster. I knew that hasty units were coming, and I thought that having patrollers was the best way to keep Drakk safe. I also knew that if River died, Grave would be coming out, and there’s no way I can prevent maxband Grave killing Drakk.
But yes, in hindsight killing River was definitely the better line.
well, is not hindsight for me
I would have killed her right away to prevent obnoxious spells, considering that he has no hasted unit except nimbles, and bombaster in SQL would have forced both fencers to die for no advantage at all.
From looking back at the game and what was in our hands, it’s pretty clear that trading the dog for River would have been a better play. However, even if he had done that and put Bombaster in SQL, I had a decent response available. I would probably have taken a turn like this:
Worker (6)
Play Grave (or Geiger) (4)
Wither the Bombaster (2)
Nimble Fencer kills the Bombaster and lives with 1 hp (0)
Patrol Grave in SQL
Which still puts me in a pretty solid position, I think. With no units and so few cards in hand, it would be hard for him to continue mounting a considerable offense.
