The problem is that I had the second Tricycloid in my deck, not in my codex, so I couldn’t Temporal Distortion into it. Same with Hyperions, because that would have worked (Tricycloid ganks the Monkey, Hyperion hastes in for 5 damage to Tech III). I definitely need to be more careful about what I put in my deck and what I leave in the codex when using Temporal Distortion.
Unfortunately i have no way to recover…my hand is a Neo Plexus, 2 Temporal Distortions and two Hyperions, so the best I could do is the Neo and a hero, both of whom are going to be clocked. My base takes 7 from the Gunship and you can probably get some way to do the last bit.
you are right, although heroes don’t get obliterated! but i got the taxman and a lobber to deal with the hero and then a charged Steam Tank (9 gold altogether) - oh no it’s 8 gold, 1 for lobber, 2 for hero, 2 for charge, and only 3 for steamtank… anarchy’s cheap…
i love tricyc and hyperion - really cool units… i tech one of each and then wait for temp-dist. another opiton could be hasted warp gate disciples… (?) not sure, never tried it up to now
Present is strange because their Tech II are awesome and their Tech III is kind of a slug. I always wrestle with grabbing a Tech Lab and throwing in Ebbflow Archons. I think I need to try the single Hyperion/single Tricycloid method.
Warp Gate Disciple seems so great, but ONLY with Now! Waiting a turn to use him seems like a load.
@IsotopeX If you had played the second Tricycloid from your hand instead of building Tech III, you could have destroyed his Tech III, and had a dominant board with a Void Star, unless I’m reading something wrong, it seems like you had access to Tricycloid x2. Not to be too much of an armchair strategist, but did you consider that play?
I did, it was a gamble, and probably not my best move on hindsight. Knowing that he only had 4 cards I thought there was a decent likelihood he wasn’t holding the Gunship.
i think present/blood/(…) is a nice idea! i didn’t really appreciate bloodlust up to now, but it’s a really nice spell what a pitty that you shoot warp gate disciple with it…
i’m definitely in for a rematch. you’re gonna bring that deck?
in the spreadsheet there’s a pre-defined combination of necro/blood/truth in quick deck selection… i have no idea of the synergies of these specs and i don’t intend to read any matches… but i’ll give it a try and do my best to find out!

OK, that was impressive. Still, I think I handled it pretty well…or at least my Hyperion did. I really went back and forth about killing Garth or the other Skeletal Lord, being able to destroy your Graveyard made the decision for me (and debuffing your bone squad helped).
Edit: I realized after I posted this that I didn’t tech this turn, so I added 2 cards to my discard directly instead of resetting everything.
