Thoughts
I’ve only played against the Blue starter and/or mono-blue once before, so this’ll be interesting… I’m assuming he didn’t have a 1-drop, since having one out threatens Manufactured Truth shenanigans on Turn 2. Unless I’ve made a huge mistake, he can’t kill Rook this turn. Even if he can somehow, I’m 99% sure that would somehow involve leveling Onimaru, so Snapback punishes that. Aside from probably starting with a standard Bird’s Nest and Sparring Partner opening, I’ll have to see where things go before deciding on a plan.
I have to assume he either miscounted how much damage I could do or really wanted to make me pay extra for Tech I. Right now there’s no reason to do anything but continue with standard Rook shenanigans. If I were him, I’d consider grabbing Free Speech at some point as a way to get around Two Lives, since that’ll be an issue for him otherwise. Then again, what do I know about playing Blue?
Blue doesn’t seem to have a good answer for big smashy heroes, but this is also my first time playing so I probably don’t see it. I’m used to having Origin Story around…

[details=Thoughts]
Pretty annoying patrol he had there… I think I’m in a fairly good position, since I no longer have to worry about paying for Tech II and can summon another Hero next turn if I need cardless things to spend Gold on. Let’s see how long he can keep me from casting Bird’s Nest, shall we? It’s not in my new hand (and neither is either of my Tech II cards…), but he won’t know that unless he uses Lawful Search (and he won’t know about any of my techs except Sparring Partner if he does, so I’m OK with that).
Young Lightning Dragon is obvious enough, but I’m going to try out Focus Master. Depending on how things go, I can see this working nicely alongside either Savior Monk or Fuzz Cuddles, and it’ll help Rook’s Two Lives last longer.
[/details]

[details=Thoughts]
Got rid of the main thing preventing BIRDS, so that’s good. I debated trading Savior Monk for Cadet, but I’d rather make him waste resources getting past my patrol instead of trading a 2-gold unit for a 0-gold unit. Transforming his mirror will costs 4 and it’ll die at end of turn, and manufactured truth still only copies a 2/2 unless he plays another unit that’s bigger (in which case, he’s still spending multiple cards and I think at least 4 gold).
Training Grounds is obvious for a hero-based strategy, and I went with Martial Mastery as a cheap cantrip that makes my deck more consistent and lets me see his hand. Also it doesn’t cost 2 gold, so it slips pasts any future Newsmen.
[/details]
Yeah, it looks like it didn’t generate the turn correctly. I’ll fix that as soon as I can, but it might be a little while.
Edit: Fixed! I was worried that I’d forgotten to press Discard/Draw, but apparently I had and it hadn’t generated the post automatically. Your move, @IsotopeX!
Copying something copies the printed version of the card and does not copy any modifiers. For example, if you copy a 2/2 that has a +1/+1 rune on it and Spirit of the Panda attached to it, the copy will just be a 2/2. — Sirlin
Just so that it’s clear, could you edit your post to show what you’re doing now? Apologies if you’re already thinking about how to do that, but I don’t know how much of that you’ll keep if you can’t kill Grave.
I will edit, just haven’t had time to think about it yet. I suspect anything I do is hopeless, but if I can hold off for about two more turns I might be able to get some Peace action going.

I think I’ve got this locked down, so I’m expecting him to concede either now or after my next turn. As long as Rook and both Birds live, I can completely remove his Tech buildings (and possibly the Tower too) and deal a minimum of 8 damage to his Base (4 from Earthquake, 2 each from each Tech building or Add-on). Even if I can’t do that somehow, I’ve also got Young Lightning Dragon in hand, so…
