OK, I don’t think there’s anyway I can safely play a hero here. If I patrol Tinkerer, then he can midband Cal and discard two cards to stealth past my patroller and assasinate, maxing Cal. Not a big deal if he goes down on hand size to pull it off because tigers will be coming straight out of the codex. And it’s T3 before I can hope to get Origin Story in my hand. So… NO CAPES!
This is a pretty awkward opening hand really. I think Tinkerer patrolling in Technician and Battle Suits is the best play. If he kills Tinkerer then at least I’m back up to full hand size, and if not, then I can tinker with stuff. Nullcraft has no immediate effect at the moment, and the threat of Nullcraft may actually be stronger than the playing of it.

He musta whiffed pretty hard there. I guess SQL Argonaut is fairly tanky, but didn’t expect to get by unscathed.
Well Prynn + Origin Story seems like a good value play.
What to do with the remaining 2 though? I could play Fargo, but I don’t need the defence (for once) and it’d be nice not to go down even further on hand size. Might be best just to float.
