This is an awful first hand in an already difficult setup (against Purple P2 + Rook, where I need early pressure to prevent MoLaC). Stewardess is going to need to be a primary tool for me, as will OCs + some card draw. I’ll either go 2x OC or sub one for Stewardess early on most likely, so either way Battle Suits is going to be important, and putting Oni down only creates a liability for giving Rook free levels.
Battle suits, then, is the play to make. Let’s hope I can find some good draws upcoming!

With this move I gain huge momentum, I’m suddenly laying 15 damage. A Stewardess from him would dissipate it reasonably well, but if he didn’t tech that or whiffed the draw, I’m going to be coming hard. Delaying my cycle also means I can choose whether to tech up or go hard on tech 1 + heroes. [/details]

Teching OS + Seer, plan is to TR and hopefully draw a Seer, which gives me a decent way to break his tech 1 by fading the argo. Worst Case is I draw Nullcraft Origin Story, then I Time Spiral Fargo and worker? If I draw Stewardess, probably peel up the Mox and skip worker?

I’m pretty fucked here no matter what, missing the Seer gamble was bad and guessing wrong on Birds vs 2x Stewardess was worse. Going to try maxing out Prynn to stem the bleeding but I think Ive already lost.
Probably pretty locked in on Peace as a win condition, so I’ll gamble a DS tech along with another Stewardess to keep him off Birds and MoLaC rune-building
Workering Fargo sucks here, but it’s about all I can do to save my economy from being 2 workers down already

Well, I feel pretty compelled to keep him off tech 2 here, and delay teching up one more turn. Teching 2 Garrisons would decrease my odds of drawing one next turn (without the tech building, bad) from 17% to 2%, but I’ll gamble and tech a Vystari as well. Hope is to draw a Stewardess, that would really kick ass.
