Woof, Grave dead… Did not expect that. IPN too, so much for the cheeky stealth play. But the board is pretty clear and he hasn’t cycled yet, unlikely to have t2 units set up. Probably Cala incoming next turn, perhaps a tech 3 rush. Going for FDS x2 and instamax sets, hope to overflow him. He has to get a tower with this play, we’ll see what else he goes for.

I think I have this locked up, don’t want Ferocity or any other Cala shenanigans so she got to go (even though it means giving up TMNT), and if I kill Arg I can get Rook maxed out in front of Sparring Partner, leaving him free to buff everyone. Grabbing just one Earthquake and the other Sparring Partner, we’ll see if I want to tech the other Earthquake next turn but I’m guessing I will
[/details]

Sheesh, got this pretty locked up, eh?

I don’t want to give him an inch. So Tower + buffing Sets means much more costly Behind the Ferns shenanigans. I’ll tech another Earthquake just to help out with that. Workering the Martial Mastery, doesn’t seem like I’m going to get Grave out anytime soon.
…
Playing Earthquake here definitely isn’t a bad choice, but I think I’d rather invest in defense of Sets. She and Rook together make for a very potent combo. May tech Porcupine + FDSchool. Could tech the other GN if needed I suppose, but I don’t want to play GN unless I’m killing the Tech 2

Oh, haha, silly me, figured you’d be able to end it with the basically unopposed heroes.

GG, WP.

GG WP, I’m curious to see how much your T3 whiff had to do with this win, as I don’t feel like I did anything particularly clever (aside perhaps from the Snapback of Cala. Looking back, you’d gotten a lot more spells for her than even I was anticipating)

I was hoping you wouldn’t sink money into snapback, but clearly that was a bad bet. I dunno, I think it was a fair fought game. 3 out of 5 as green P1 went to green.

I may have been a bit rusty with the matchup though. Probably would have been safer to go for Ancients instead.

I will say that white P1 is just as unbalanced as blue vs black, though.

I was considering this matchup for future map matchup shenanigans.

I’d love to do another Map series in this matchup!
