i think i have to throw in the towel here. tried playing out my turn and just couldnt make it work. you were right, reavers are pretty tough to prepare for. nicely played with max garth for the necro as well! GG!

And yeah - Reaver is difficult to make work as removing time runes is expensive, and even then you still gotta haste it somehow, and after all that it still isn’t an auto-win, as it can be overwhelmed by any of the blooming ancient / flagstone garrison style engines even if you’re able to snipe two things each turn.
Maybe if you combined it with red to get the haste, and had a couple of Seers in the deck, you could pull one of them off. Two seems challenging almost no matter what.
It would be cool if Purple had some other way of accelerating them, like an ultimate spell that insta-removed forecasted runes and added haste to something, or a hero ability to manipulate runes, or a spell to remove more than one at a time. Time Spiral is just so expensive to keep around all game in hopes you’ll get it for this one use.
