GG! Yeah, that was going to be a fun hand unless you drew an Appel Stomp I think you didnât draw from Boot Camp on Turn 4, which might not have helped, you had the right idea bringing in Hallucinations. Iâm up for a decider.

Going to try to keep Jail around if I can, it could be good against Fencers. Given Iâve drawn all my useful spells this turn, Iâm going to try opening with Grave.
Yeah Appel Stomp was the hope, but did not come! Mm I am not sure it would have made too much of a difference, I was playing a catch up game for most of that match.

Take 3 - but he is likely to be more wary of Hero Slayer this time that game 1. He may even do it to me if I lead a hero. What about a T1 Aven? Alt: Building Inspector. If I do not patrol my Aven, he cannot pop it. In this play, he does likley tech up next turn - but then so do I, and maybe get a hero kill as well. I think this is better, as my Tech I is cheaper anyway so I have some economic advantage to play with.
That Aven means Iâd have to commit to maxbanding Grave after killing Onimaru, to prevent the Aven killing him. Sure, whatâs the worst that could happen? Teching in cheap cards for now, to make sure I can tech up next turn. Holding onto the sword for now, Iâd like to use it on something more valuable than the Aven.

Câmon Truth on the tech drawâŚ! Nope. OK, double fencer seems strong to begin with⌠and a third one on the MT next turn with Quince. Defence vs that big Grave? My own Newsman I guess. and prevent the Reversal. Next turn some starlets and keep on hitting him, maybe tech up.

Whatâs my end game? The Peace combo with virtuoso spam? I think so. Alt - grounded guide. Alt alt - Illusions? Likely no. I think itâs Peace. So - now, kill the Oni and get a Quince ready to copy a Starlet next turn. Defend the Fencer. Counter his plays: Knight, whatever, goes doen to one mirror starlet and Quince. Jail - I will have a BI next turn to push through. Spartner - whatever on its first turn. Search - canât do much about that. Heroes - will be annoying defense. Now, should I play the aven to add pressure + delay my reshuffle until I can tech II up? Yes, he has no easy way of dealing with it next turn, so should get some value.

Thoughts
Alternative to maxbanding is to play the Inspector, MT it into a Fencer to trade with a real one, then have 5 gold to build a Tower or a Jail. Tower doesnât do much for me. Jail slightly slows James down if heâs playing a Garrison this turn, but Iâm screwed if he is regardless, so I might as well commit to Oni and threaten Elite Training.
