Thoughts

There are the two crashbarrows. But I did a mistake with Fencer on Elite. I thought he needs Det to kill it, but I did not do the exact calculation. He had anyway no money for worker so no card loss with Det. And he managed to get it in that cycle… Det on crashbarrow means probably the other crashbarrow on his current hand. My tech 2 break did not hit any crashbarrow…

But nothing to complain he hit tech 3 and I have no blademaster. He could have played other cards instead which would cause now more trouble.

I don’t see any chance for Maestro to survive against crashbarrow. Stw would be bad as well. But I hope Sets or tech 3 and I will have 5 cards again…

P1T7

Starting hand: 5

Shoddy Glider
Lich’s Bargain
Hooded Executioner
Chaos Mirror
Deteriorate

Thoughts

Boosting the Executioner kills the Maestro, midband Drakk + Glider kills Setsuki. Unfortunately, both cost 5, so I can’t do both. I can do one + worker + normal Executioner / Heroes’ Hall / Lich’s Bargain, though. Am I more scared about the Maestro or Setsuki? Probably Maestro, it lets Moby play Blademaster etc. for free.

Another line is heroes kill River, then I can both boost the Executioner and kill Setsuki with a Glider, for 8 gold, or haste the Executioner and kill Setsuki with that instead for 9 gold, or haste the Executioner and destroy a Tech building with it for 8 gold instead of killing Setsuki. Both variants leave me pretty wide open if Moby has a good virtuoso hand, so unless I destroy Tech I leaving maxband Setsuki alive could go very badly, not to mention that she can swiftly kill Garth.

That executioner again… But, I am lucky tech 2 kill would have been the worst case I think. 75% chance for Maestro.

Maestro drawn very good, but I missed the fencer… This would have decided the game.

His hand gives me a lot to think… He will easily kill one blademaster, and Grave. We don’t see any other possibility even with drawing one additoinal card via Garth to kill the other blademaster. The other glider is not in the cycle any more, so I think one blademaster will survive 2 of his turns…

But I realized a big mistake. I should have teched in Jade fox 2x, since I don’t have a tech 3 in the next cycle… 1g left for Tech lab.

Next turn Fencer, Sets max and river again.

This game is killing me, I hope it is soon over.

Oh, my.

Bloodlust
Shoddy Glider

Thoughts

Yeah, this sucks. Shoddy Glider can take out something with the help of Bloodlust, after that it becomes difficult. How about Zane (8), Bloodlust Glider + Zane (5), Chaos Mirror on BM and Drakk (3), Drakk kills Grave (Zane → 3), then maxband Zane (0) kills Scavenger Blademaster (1), and I have 1 gold left for Tech Lab? That wastes the shove damage, though, I’ll put Bloodlust on the Executioner instead. Leaves me with almost nothing on the board, and the Messenger can easily kill Drakk, but if I’m lucky I don’t lose my Tech II here.

Hey Mouse, I am definitely not an expert on the rules, so I am not sure if I got it wrong. Blademaster should give all my units and heroes swift strike. So when they defend as well…

Yep, I forgot they give it to heroes too. I’ll have a rethink.

Great, I hope you don’t find a way to destroy everything, I did not …

yep, also they have swift strike themselves.

Fixed, I think! Go ahead, Moby.

Brutal. Did spent quite some thoughts into your options but didn’t see that one coming… :medal_sports: for you @charnel_mouse (or maybe I’m just blind and it was obvious)

My respect, legendary move! I did not see it…

OK, I get your point, maybe our fight escalated to fast  Let’s go back to a lower tech level.

Not good… I was too confident that 1 blademaster would survive and with him the maestro. I should have put a blademaster backline. Now the mistake from before becomes more relevant, that I don’t have tech 3 in the cycle and only one maestro. I need to get fast through it.

Tech lab, so he is preparing gunship. Tech break is a must, I don’t want tech 3 and no CB. I need again some time. We are back in turn 5, but this time he has no heroes for for one round. Nearly every card I draw will help more for another tech break next turn.

Midband River should be enough for defense, if I lose her OK for me as well.

OK that should do it, I don’t think he can get out there…

Tech 2 down, no CB no glider, Sets will survive. Only 1 hero can’t do so much damage…

Bloom instead of Maestro would allow double tech break, but I want the Mastro because chances are very high for Blademaster next turn.

I don’t want guide to die from zane, so I play a bit slower… Worst case would be executioner and Stw kill the two fencers I think, which is not enough.
