Thoughts

What do do with this? I guess I can build on an aggression theme, with Bone Collector and Gunpoint Taxman, backed up by Savior Monk, with Mind-Parry Monk to protect from Fire/Necro spells. Discipline buildings could be a good option, if I’m careful with them, because the tech II is less expensive than Assimilate, and the tech III is untargetable. If I’m going to play the tech II, however, I’d better be sure than I can break it when it gets stolen. This isn’t a great starting hand, either. Guess I’ll play the Monk now, since I want it, and since I’d be wasting a card draw otherwise.

Yeah Lobber + LB seems a decent bet, not sure why I was gifted the free AS kill, I guess he was not wanting to risk FF putting Grave in danger? Idk, seems an odd choice, but I’ll take the free card off the board.

Thoughts

Giving away a card doesn’t seem so bad when he already has 5 and probably wants to spend $4 on a Tech II next turn anyway. Way better than killing an Elite and being taken out by the Nullcraft, anyway. And I do want to take the kills, to leave him with fewer options to push back with.

My Thoughts

I think I make a move to kill Grave now and avoid the sword. it means I probably max Garth to do it (lobber + nullc clear the road, mid to get the kill, max to fetch and cover) but that’s still a big swing and a win on board position, and I’m drawing into LB next turn so I’ll be able to maintain and just play Tech2 Necro straight (or Fire I guess? Less appealing with no haste and GPT to cover fliers though, and same for GPT and future). So skeleton spam is pretty good in this scenario, I can go lords and do Garth things with Death Rites and probably be good. So only question is do I fetch BC or Glaxx, and I think BC probably lives so BC is the right choice (no StW or anything to have Glaxx covering).

so LB + Neo or skele next turn + tech up, then hopefully draw lines up to drop Lord right after. That’s solid winning play, I like it

Thoughts

Safe Attacking would be bad if he counters with Assimilate, it would cost him $3 and a card for Assimilate, and me $3 and 2 cards for Safe Attacking and Versatile Style, so into the worker pile it goes. Think I’ll try going for building suppression with Catapults. Best way to make use of Skeleton tokens in small numbers without Archery, I figure, and not susceptible to Assimilate.

This feels like a Vader “I have you now” moment for me, feels like I’ve got command and I’m just waiting for Zane to come here and Han Solo the shit out of me XD

Wow, lame duck turn and Neko’s going Necro? I expected Anarchy. I feel like I’m missing the catch here, I can absolutely flood skeletons and I’m drawing into Lord next turn, this should be a slaughter.

Not quite ready to tech Death Rites here so gonna take the other Lord + Hoodie, and if next turn I feel like Garth will be super safe maybe I’ll tech 2x DR, maybe even try to sac a skele or so for card draw!

Thoughts

This being Frozen, I did anticipate LB, but usually he builds his Tech II first. In hindsight, his choice to Garth-fetch a tech I unit should have been a red flag. Oh well, what I need to do now is stall for time and try to catapult his base. Now, how to stall? Zane can deal with the SQL, best to do it at low cost. Snapback can stem the tide. But, how to create space to protect my Tech II in the face of his horde? Probably, my only option is to get a horde of my own to counter his.

Well that takes care of Zane anxiety I guess XD Think this is GG, WP my friend
