Yeah maybe letting you have Nightmare as P1 is a mis-step but it’s part of the joy of this tourney that I don’t leave early for my choices.
I wonder if it’s the “declare first as P2” part that skews purple

Got to go low hand here as not much other option. At least Nullcraft gives Fargo some protection from Sac the Weak. Really not wanting to see shadow blade here given my next turn hand size. Argonauts seem like the best call to try and regain some stability, hoping I can navigate to something playable.
Note for community balance patch tweaking: Interesting to note that Troq with mid/max at 3/5 would have a line here to kill Vandy with Nullcraft. Alternatively, it struck me that redoing his midband to some kind of “Troq Armour” when attacking (and patrolling?) could be really on brand and might give him what he needs to be a default big body.

Well, that’s actually a pretty solid defense… I can obviously get kills and that seems kinda good. I’m not in a massive rush, though. I can get Graveyard out with Fencer and that sets up pretty strong mounting pressure. Next turn I can look towards Meta or tech up and be in good shape

Mmm double Argo is quite a wall… I traded well enough last turn though. Graveyard still provides significant threat. I’ll have to give up Vandy in defense here, but Discord should help thin that out, and Imp is really crushing the card economy. I think this is fine

I can see three lines worth considering:
- Worker, Tech II, attack and maxband Troq, break his Tech I
- Worker, Tech II, Battle Suits, attack trading Troq, break his Tech II
- Battle Suits, attack and trade Troq, break his Tech II, Prynn+Temporal Research, then worker but skip Tech II.
The former keeps my hand at 3 and lets me draw one card from my deck. The middle option reduces my hand at 2, which I do not like one bit. The latter options sets up a much better draw next turn but my Tech IIs won’t be playable. I guess that leaves the first option as my only real line here. The other nice part of it is that I probably keep both Argos since there’s no haste I coming.
That means 2x Argos, Troq and Nullcraft so 11 attack with 4 of it having Overpower, which is pretty nice vs presumably Garth + Maxband, fetch a Guide then worker.
I’m only drawing one card from my deck this turn so whatever I tech in is a low probability of coming up, but my choices should be impactful if I get lucky and still useful if I don’t
Temporal Distortion is good if I don’t draw it this coming turn, or if I get Technician draw (though that would need to be some strange line with Doom Grasp or River + Discord + StW) but is kind of a waste if I draw it now.
Intimidate is sneaky good here. Final Smash also seems kind of fun but definitely the bounce a Tech I particularly is still a big downside that I don’t really want when he has no way of playing a Tech I.
Origin Story seems like a great fit, especially given how faceup maxband Garth is. If I don’t draw any of my Tech IIs I also probably want to avoid Geiger so he’s available for suddenly burst.
I think OS and Intimidate seem like the most obvious choices. Let’s just hope I draw well!

GG @FrozenStorm I wasn’t happy at first that I drew both Argonauts at once but it actually swung the momentum pretty decisively. Then I just got lucky to draw Hyperion and you not hit it with Imp. If those few random effects go against me I’m sure the result would be very different
