Main question here is whether to bring out Bloodburn or Bombaster. The former slows down my aggression, but it’s an easy way to deal with Spectral Aven. Alternatively, I just tech in Bloodlust or Taxmen. I’d rather not rely on Bloodlust so much, when I might be facing Free Speech later on. I’ll go with Bloodburn, and plan on getting offence going again with Lobbers. Hopefully I can get some card size back later with Zane.

Lobber and Mad Man can kill Onimaru, and leave nothing good on-board to copy with Manufactured Truth, if I kill the Traffic Director with Zane.
So far, so good, but with only Zane on the board I don’t have especially strong forward momentum, so Peace would still be nasty to deal with. Maybe Surprise Attack can help me keep FrozenStorm under pressure while he tries to set up. In the meantime, Firebirds are the obvious response.

Peace isn’t surprising here. Drawing Firebird is unfortunate, but it means I don’t need to fit in paying for a Tech II just yet.
Lobber + Charged Bombaster + maxband Zane is 7 gold, and clears the patrol with a patroller bonus on top. I probably want the card draw here rather than the gold, try to get something better to worker. Then Zane and Bloodburn destroy a Tech building, or Bloodburn kills Building Inspector and Zane leaves a building nearly destroyed. The latter invites instantly losing tempo to Garrison + Cadet, the former might see Manufactured Truth + Aven to… kill Bombaster, which the Inspector can do anyway with a trade. Eh, that’s fine.

Bloodburn can target units or buildings. Bigby is strong like his courthouse but is not, in fact, a building. And I’m sure in his sportsball days they might have referred to him as “a BEAST UNIT” but that was not literal in the context of card time
