I guess the other option is that the overpower fizzles as there is no “something ELSE this could attack”

Missed my chance with detonate, assuming he goes to 10 workers it would break even this turn but there’s far better things to do; workering it as it’s value just goes down from here.

You still have to tech cards on the turn you make the 10th worker.

Yep, i knew this i actually just forgot to tech completely… and now ive seen my next hand and my opponents turn, guessing i should try to tech as if i hadnt seen the turn and also redraw hand (it won’t have a teched card in but its still info that i shouldnt hv whilst teching)
