What does the "Play to win" crowd think of "Tagon's Toughs"?

Normally, Schlock Mercenary is discussed over at Nightstar Zoo. But they aren’t really a “play to win” group.

What do the people here think of the operation of the mercenaries in the current Schlock Mercenary story?

I love schlock mercenary. I am amused to see schlock backing off the whole hyperviolence thing, but I am assuming his hyperviolence will come back.

Also, Tagon’s Toughs don’t just play to win, they play to win and get paid twice doing it.

I think this thread needs more ominous HUMMMMMMMMMM

Also, I think that several of the Maxims are quite applicable for PtW, aye?

  1. Pillage, then burn.
  2. If violence wasn’t your last resort, you failed to resort to enough of it.
  3. If you’re not willing to shell your own position, you’re not willing to win.
  4. If you can see the whites of their eyes, somebody’s done something wrong.
  5. That which does not kill you has made a tactical error.
  6. When the going gets tough, the tough call for close air support.

And, of course…
37. There is no ‘overkill.’ There is only ‘open fire’ and ‘I need to reload.’

I think you would be hard pressed to identify a maxim that is not applicable in some way. But you have identified much of the most applicable items.

Annoyingly, it looks like the maxims got renumbered in my post, except for #37. Bleah.
