I will concede here, I was clearly unprepared for this matchup :slight_smile:

But just for reference your first faerie dragon died to skeletal Archery.

I had the option of killing Vandy with doom grasp but it would have meant skipping a worker on turn 4, also it would leave me with just a Garth, so you probably still would have blown me up, I think.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the anti-air. If I had remembered, I could have sequenced differently by killing the Voidblocker and playing Ember Sparks first, then have a Lobber trade with the lookout skeleton, then have Vandy kill the Tower and Faerie Dragon kill Garth.

I think that Doom Grasp on turn 4 might have worked out better for you. My hand wasn’t great without Dark Pact, so I wouldn’t have been able to blow you up yet that turn. I don’t know if it would have been enough to change the outcome, though.

Yea. in retrospect, and looking at your hand, sure. But I was pretty concerned with the idea you would just kill garth without any real repercussions. It probably really roots down to opening with Garth as a relatively weak play.
