I’m doing another Puzzle Strike tournament.
As before:
-double elim
-double blind counterpick for characters
-random bank. Loser can switch a chip or rerandom the bank
-medium timer
We start December4th. Also @vengefulpickle would you be willing to help me run it?
Sure, I can help run it.
Awesome thanks a bunch!
By popular demand, I will participate this time.
Hopefully this will be biggest one yet, I’ll play.
Just realized I forgot to sign up myself. So I’m doing that now
Count me in
What does this mean? Double blind pick?
I believe that means the initial selection of characters is done without either player knowing what the other has picked, then after that the loser of each match is allowed to “counterpick” by switching characters. Those terms are common in fighting games, and especially since Sirlin’s first game was the fighting card game Yomi they tend to show up in his various tabletop games too.
Exactly! That’s the rule I’ve been using
Are characters chosen before or after the bank is generated?
Can the loser make both a chip counterpick and a character counterpick?
Choose characters before bank
And it’s chips or character, not both
I’d like to play!
@Hobusu do you want to play?
I think I’ll pass this time, things are going to be getting busy with work for the next month or so.
Okay fair enough
It’s the 5th. Shouldn’t we start the tournament?
I forgot. Well it’s time. @vengefulpickle it’s time to begin. I think we should just not do the playoffs since there’s so few players. Maybe diminishing Swiss?
I count 5 players? Maybe just round-robin, at that size?
