I need to think about my spec a little bit and if I want to try it again… was inspired by @EricF’s Bluestarter + Balance… not sure if he ever actually used it, but just in blue’s starter you can get yourself flying and untargetable… I ran finesse (just to try to not be a filthy copy cat) but he had Zane for the haste.
Your plan probably would have worked against most other specs, but I had like, the most possible access to anti spell/targeting/buildings/upgrades.
You did very effectively stop my combo, for sure. I don’t think it was a hopeless matchup, though; I just didn’t sufficiently adapt. But, it’s fine if you decide you’d rather play something else. I’ve grown comfortable enough with the PBF that I should probably start taking specs out into the wild.
Well you definitely would have been better served with some non ultimates of different costs to up dodge newsman, too
I’ve identified a number of mistakes, including that I tech’d in those Volleys too early, but I don’t think the Newsman was much of an issue. His effect ends when he dies, and I should have had non-spell methods of taking him out. Free Speech was a much bigger obstacle, and it works on non-ultimate spells as well.
