Turtling up it is. I need 4-5 gold to get Tech 2 and the rest can go to reinforcements. I think next turn, I play a worker as the only thing from my hand and set up hero defense. Chump blocking with heroes is kinda bad, but I think I need defenders more than Oni needs levels. At any rate, I should be able to start the party from there.
Actually the “Treant” can’t kill the Treant because it also has SQL armor in addition to its rulestext armor. It should survive with 1HP

I could get a kill on Argagarg by trading a unit, but I don’t think I need to. He can’t maxband to heal, so I can just dump damage on him and prod him to death later.

Basilisk, nice counter to Training! It’s worth using Porky to get past it, maybe also worth dropping Flagbearers to trade with them. But, no, better to go for a second hero, I think, so I can get some units into my cycle to synergize with the Garrisons. Trading Inspector for Prospector is a good idea anyway, but even better with that in mind. As for which hero… Bigby is tempting to facilitate draws, but Quince is probably better so he can copy stuff. Except no, my hero limit hasn’t increased yet. Oh well, I’ll just float then, I still have Porky.

GG. That went downhill quickly. Do you see something I’m doing wrong?
Btw I use she/her.
GG. Hmm… I think I was just more efficient in my actions, which gradually let me snowball into increasingly advantageous positions. Well, Blue is pretty good at tipping that balance in its favor, as long as it’s not pressured too much. I think a single big threat is easier to stall against than several smaller threats, so concentrating your gold in Midori and the Gigadon made defending my hindering units easier, I think. Also, the Rich Earth sacrifices early pressure for long-term efficiency, and since Blue is most vulnerable to early pressure, having less pressure to deal with made establishing a strong early presence easier.
I will try to remember, but I’m old, so you may have to remind me a few times before it sticks.

Aven doesn’t seem very useful at the moment, gonna try to threaten with Onimaru who should survive just fine with Newsman support, unless faced with Dinosize… but even with the free levels, I’d come out on top value-wise after Dinosize’s $4+card cost. I’ll take this opportunity to punish his choice to not build his Tech I last turn with Inspector. As for my tech choices… I’m half-tempted to go with Elite Training again, but Director is untragetable and none of my units are particularly scary. Guess I’ll try Boot Camp, it should make the Newsman a force to be reckoned with and reduce my cycle.

White starter and heroes can’t target the Aven unless it’s patrolling, and $2 Newsman will protect it from targeting by hero spells as well (except for TPoS, lol). So, I’ll float MTruth for T2 Aven play.
