@FrozenStorm, I flipped a coin and got Blue, so I’M GONNA DIE! It’s the color that I have the least experience with.

Really not helping.
We don’t have to flip coins, I’m happy to take Blue; I’m playing it right now anyway so I’m warmed up on it.

Nah, I figured I’d leave it up to fate. I get to learn a new color this way.
Maybe you could trade colors once or twice during the warm-ups? That way you get to learn a new color and also see how FrozenStorm handles this matchup from both sides, which could be useful once the two of you reach the level of play where it becomes about conspiracy theories mind-games.
Sounds like a plan @Hobusu and @TheKonamiCode, we can switch during warm-ups if/when ya like.

Woof! This was a very rough starting hand. Nothing I really want to worker against Blue, no 1-drop… very ouch. Primus I think is the best play, deters Aven or Onimaru, but ouch dog…
Going to worker Sensei’s Advice, as I need Hook and Snapback, and Flagbearer I really prefer to wait on workering in case he’s needed for Boot Camp / DS. That kinda rules out Barbs for later in the game, but oh well.
What’s my tech plan going to be? Ninja seems the most effective against Blue. Free Speech makes it really hard to play around hero win conditions. Strength stall w/ WSG for Tech 3 also an option. We’ll see how things go, I need to look at the last time I was playing this w/ (Dreamfire was it?) for hints!

Aggressive start for White, expensive start. I’m worried about throwing Oni out there solo; if Frozen has Sensei’s Advice, I basically will feed his hero two levels (I assume Rook). Early Jail seems like suicide. I figure the Elite Musketeer kills the Primus, and I save a gold, or he Grapples and uses an extra card to kill it. I’m leaning toward Illusion because White doesn’t have a super lot of targeted effects; hopefully that, plus the economic benefits of P2, will pay off in the long run. Obviously Free Speech is going to get teched soon, White heroes are too good to leave speaking. Unfortunately, no Building Inspector before he can get Tech 1, so he might get Workered next.

Hmm, kinda feel like playing around Sets for Hidden Ninja. Maybe score some counter-pressure on Oni. Safe Attacking + Savior Monk also plays into that nicely. If he has & goes for Arrest though, probably will want to keep heroes out of it. IPN ought to do, will synergize w/ Hidden Ninja too…
…
Okay both options on the table, cool
Why is your Fox Primus hurt?
It has 2hp, it attacked a unit with 2 attack (Bluecoat Musketeer in Elite), but has 1 armor from Safe Attacking. 2hp+1armor-2atk = 1hp remaining after killing the Musketeer
OK, that’s what I figured, but your post doesn’t mention her attacking. Just wanted to be sure.
OH! It doesn’t, huh, sorry about that! I will fix that
No worries. I was sort of hoping she had just tripped and broken an ankle or something.

I had to take out the Savior Monk to not let the Primus heal; I figure it’s a trade of 2 gold for hiring Oni vs 2 gold and a card for him, that’s fine. If Oni’s gonna die, good time to do it when he doesn’t have a hero. If he ganks the Traffic Director, great, he paid for himself. Grappling the Aven will at least cost him. Teching in Free Speech because I’ll want it soon enough anyway and the other Spectral Hound, get them doggies out early. Next turn, Tower? Quince?

Well, as much as it feels like I should take the Hook kill on Aven, I don’t want to skip laying IPN, and I don’t want to worker. The Aven can stick around one more turn, either trade with Primus or take a pot shot at Sets / IPN if it wants to. I’m only 40% to draw what I tech if I do that, so I’m going to pump the deck for Ninjutsu T2 stuff. GN and… porcupine, another GN or FDSchool? I like FDSchool with IPN, so let’s go with that
…
Nice RS to get Hidden Ninja! Means I can get a tech kill next turn if I want to, or perhaps some free levels for Sets!

Ok, so he’s got Hidden Ninja, so I assume IPN is going to gank Quince. I could level him up to protect him but that feel like throwing good money away, and he’s got Snapback anyway. Killing the Primus seems like the right choice, even if my bird dies in the process. Unfortunately nobody to Arrest, Manufactured Truth isn’t enugh for me to do something useful; at best I can get a 3/3 whish isn’t enough to kill anything. Tower sounds like a good idea, at least as a detector if he’s moving in the Ninja direction.

Okay, I’m going to take the Quince kill for Sets maxband, not because I want to FDS (not great for IPN), but just to get card advantage to keep movin’. I’ll build tech 2 next turn and lay down some chumps so turn 6 can bring the Ninjas (or something else, if I decide it will be better!)

Expensive but I had to get force on the board, and my hand was largely useless right now. Low on cards, so next turn hopefully it’ll make sense to get out Tech II in time for Macciatus to hit soon. Not much I can do at the moment.

Not sure why he patrolled Aven there, makes it easy to hook! I think I might go Tech Lab here, for a Training Grounds (cuz why not right)
