Right now it feels like trading to reset both our boards seems good. He could stiil summon Zane or Arg, but if he teched any Strength spells they’ll be much less useful now. I may regret this, but I feel like my only chance in this match is to get MoLaC on the board before he does… So teching both copies now minimizes the chance that I can’t play one the turn I need it (I’m most worried about the chance that I draw it too soon and can’t get another in hand the turn I need it, so having two in the deck means I would have to draw both at once next turn). Dog goes in Squad Leader because I don’t really need Scavenger or Technician right now as much as I need to prevent some crazy play breaking my Tech I this turn. He could still do it if he has both Mad Man and Charge in hand, but I just have to bet that he doesn’t or won’t want to go down on cards.

This is getting interesting. His next play is almost certainly rook + Tech 2, as there is almost nothing he can do to me. The question is, can I do enough to break his tech 2 next turn. Thoughts

Barely kept Tech I standing long enough to get Tech II up, but because of how damaged Tech I is I’m forced to build it. Thus, I have no money to spend on actual defense… For that reason I have to worker Rambaster instead of MoLaC, despite the loss of a haste unit and redundancy with the one I’ll (hopefully) be dropping next turn. Because I might not get to drop it next turn, I need to maximize the chance that I can get it on the first turn I can drop it. The odds of him getting Charge (or Spark, if he didn’t worker it) are high, though, so he’s almost certain to break my Tech II on his turn. What to do next turn…? That’ll depend on what his board looks like, but I can drop Ogre and Bombaster and still have enough to add Arg in for a total of four bodies and 8 HP. Hopefully that can hold out long enough for a second chance at MoLaC.

A Bombaster appears to have disappeared. I also only just noticed you either discarded 1 too many on t6 or didn’t cast Bombaster and had 2g more.

Ooh, that’s awkward. Honestly, I think if I’m analyzing this right there’s basically no way for me to come back from this due to Bird’s Nest giving you 12 unblockable damage once they can attack – all you have to do is find a way to get literally any one other unit past my defense to win, or just wait a turn and use the birds again. I’d rather not try to fix by board under these circumstances, so let’s just call it here unless you really want to play it out.

I’m good, your analysis matches mine. I think you kinda had a chance if you had managed to activate molac a turn sooner or maybe delayed me activating. As for fixing it, I would just redraw your starting hand on t7 with 1 less card. But I suspect my incoming Zane plus surprise attack would ruin your day regardless…

Yeah, I think I just went too all-in on getting my Tech II up early, and you did a great job playing to prevent me from capitalizing on that even though I technically succeeded. @Bob199, zhavier eliminates me from the tourney by agreement that my position was doomed.
