This will be tough for White because he’ll have Origin Story, so I can’t rely on a power-Grave or power-Rook. On the other hand I have Snapback so he’ll have to watch his heroes closely, but his heroes aren’t as good as mine. This is a rough starting hand for me. I’m tempted to try a Ninjitsu tech simply because I haven’t really used it yet, so starting with the Fox Primus seems to make sense, plus it’s a little bit of Nullcraft defense. On the other hand, Rook gives me such nice benefit for the cost, I’ll just leave him un-levelled for now. Flagbearer isn’t a high priority because he won’t have much in the way of targeted effects.

GL, HF!

sorry in advance for any mistakes using theither spreadsheet or in general- only played a few codex games IT’LL.

It will take me a bit before my first turn, trying to do this on mobile right now.

No worries at all, take your time. Hell, if you make fewer mistakes than I did the first time around, I’ll be very surprised.

my untested game plan is to run a lock of censorship council and chronofixer with bounce effects. I’m afraid of him pinging my tech with birds and smoker then earthquaking me.

I think I messed up posting- the t1 building isn’t there. allow me to fix that next turn.

I shouldn’t have teched turn one, mistake in retrospect.
Hopefully I can put some pressure on him with the Argonauts before teching in chronofixer and origin story. Not sure if I will get the timing right on those things before he gets the EQ off. Decided against AA since my counter to birds will be bouncing rook.

The Nullcraft will survive because the Sensei doesn’t have any anti-air. Unfortunately.

this nullcraft exceeded expectations. first time actually playing it. I wasn’t sure which tech I wanted first between law and present. decided on tricycloid to deal with pesky evasion dudes easier as I have no detection without a tower and I want a tech lab. I’m anticipating rook being important for his plan and expect to tech chronofixer after origin story is played. lame next hand.

"

Sorry that took so long, wasn’t able to finish turn during lunch break then redid my turn twice after realizing things I had missed or made a mistake on.

Don’t worry at all about taking extra time, that’s the benefit of playing through the forum.

I don’t like going that low on cards but the Argonaut needs an answer, and ganking Geiger is hopefully worth it. Obviously Tech II next turn, probably throw the Sensei into the Worker pile.

well I could be in some trouble if he can pull out an eq this turn, but I think I’ll be fine, even if I lose the t1. if I had a better draw this turn tempo could be moving more in my favor. censorship seems useless now that he went down in cards. Bigby is totally a chump blocker… extra levels won’t stop EQ if he has it.

"

Your dun dang tower dun roint my combat maths!

That’s why it’s there, brother. Even if it doesn’t kill anything, if it convinces you not to attack when otherwise you would, I figure it’s doing it’s job.

Investing the gold in Rook was a tough choice, and I suspect there’s an Origin Story coming soon, but with the Vines out I have to protect him. It’s basically impossible to destroy him through combat damage now. The Mox is going to die soon enough anyway because I’m sure there’s a Tech II unit coming out.

u mean he is full health and no rune. right?

here’s to hoping he was planning on eq this turn, if so tempo is in my court I think. not sure if censorship council is as strong as I think but here goes testing my theory craft. Temporal distortion is for removing entangling vines and potentially getting into play some t2 counters. I hope I have something to play next turn that is t2 since I couldn’t afford to rebuild t1 this turn. of ninja t2 I’m most afraid of porcupine and the school, though school may be too little too late.

Not the best draw but could have been worse.

Edited with Mox mistake #2

I’m super excited to peek at your thoughts buckets when this is over, really a neat feature for analyzing your play and decision making.
