Free For All (Frozen, Youngbuck, Request, Zhavier & Feathers) : table talk thread

My only prayer in this game remaining is that my wide-open base isn’t exploitable enough for any of you to risk pinging it down, as you jockey for the high health and enough board to end next turn, and that I can survive to play some useful cards. It looks unlikely, but a man can dream

Such an interesting dynamic. Both Black and White have open shots on Base, but seems highly unlikely that Purple will take a shot at either cause hes not in a winning base health position right now. 3 players before white goes again and it would be foolish to target his base. I love this game!

That’s what I’m hoping for, it’s a gamble b/c I’m not really sure if Black or Blue will have the firepower to stay in first AND finish me, but seeing as I have basically no threat on the board, I feel like everyone else is a higher priority!

It is in his interest to hit both of us below or to 13, or maybe repair. So he might take some shots, but Request needs 4 on white, 4 on black, 4 on blue, and 5 on green to be in a winning position, and then 12 more somewhere to actually end it.

By contrast, blue and black just needs to deal 16 and repair 1 point. But its notable black only has maybe 8 on the table that could swing? Blue has a lot more he could swing with.

Right, Purple and Black can’t really focus on White or Black until Green and Blue are neutralized. This is a crazy jockeying for both balancing not being in last but also not letting anyone else be in first!

Green hit my base down to 12, lower than even Request’s. I’m not in any position to swing.
We are currently at 16, 17, 13, 16, 12… I’d have to deal 26 damage minimum to 4 different patrolled bases in one turn even if I healed 1. Any attacks on me means YoungBuck likely ends it next turn via my base.

Ah, I forgot about the mimic, so yea, purple would only have to hit white black and green, not blue.

Paralyzed with FEAR, y’all. Jk, just taking a long-ass time to weigh my options and find a good play here, so apologies for the delay. I’ll try to get my turn in sometime tomorrow since tonight is kind of busy.

My turn was the same way man, takes so much longer trying to figure out what to do with so many options! So hard to predict how your actions will influence others too

I see Request has decided its better to get me down than Green, who has a huge board… Or he could have split the difference at least… ah well.

Crap, I thought you still had a Plague Lord out and accounted for damage on your turn going to Green. Sloppy accounting on my part then…

:frowning:

I will be shocked if green cant find a way to win here.

Hey are we forgetting about the 26 dmg blue has on the board?? He can easily get through my patrol and take ALL of my tech buildings here

To be honest I decided that if white was gonna “help” green, I could “help” blue by not killing more of his things. Also, I had little I could do to him.

And the alliance emerges!

GG everyone!

GG feathers, that was a blast of a game

Having never played FFA before, the rules are incredibly well suited to wacky plays in this game, where your properties are constantly shifting, unexpected things pop up, and the person losing can get neglected just long enough to set up a really dominant position.

I really enjoyed it, thanks everyone!

Thanks, I’m really glad we got this together. Maybe after RACE I’ll be ready for another.

Heh, if I had killed Oni instead of Cala, feathers would have been forced to go for youngbuck directly. I completely forgot about Generals Hammer. There is just so many things in FFA, it’s nuts.

GG all! Seriously, a blast!

So fun to see all the crazy swings! Feels like a completely different game, I love it!

You really can’t calculate what every player is going to be able to do though, which I think adds to the fun in a way! You kind of have to count on the person after you to take care of whoever’s taking their turn next, and let that chain keep running, with some deviations based on opportunity attacks and clear leaders.

Really a lot of fun XD
