I thought about all combinations of Oni kiling SL + 2 units and some would be challenging in turn 3. But this is surprising.

If he doesn’t want board control, I know someone who wants it… This should be again an early decision.

What are the risks? Injunction again? Not as P1 with no board control. Hounds + aven are nasty, but I still have bombaster. But hounds are probably the worst case…

Thoughts

Defense is good enough that I cannot do tech break + tech2. Just tech break is not good enough, I have nothing against aven. Sooner or later I have to do something against it. Unfortantely BB is not on the next hand. So I have to bring it now, that gives me as well the opportunity to bring the knight in discard. And I always wanted to play peace engine with bb.

Worst case is a tech up and an early council or injunction. But he was hiding quince so I don’t think he has injunction on the next hand. With brave night I don’t know what his plan is. Peace probably not. Truth I don’t think so either. So it is probably law again with the council. But that did not work for Mouse either and I have strong heroes to deal with that.

I’m really hoping I haven’t imbalanced my deck too badly with my tech choices so far. I don’t feel like I’m in a bad position, but I’m notoriously bad at this game so we’ll see. I’m generally aiming for Truth + Dreamscape so that if Moby opts for Peace plan with the Drill Sergeant, his units become vulnerable to the runes and I can potentially snipe them via the Flagbearer.

I think you are right with brave knight, but last turn 5 units died + brave knight. So 4 is correct.

Truth? That is surprising after the first 2 tech choices. But with those the cycle will not really work, so probably hoping for tech 3.

In worst case 2 cards, which I don’t know, will come. I went through all combinations of whisperer, reteller, roc, tiger and dreamscape and don’t see one that is really critical for me. There might be something with injuction, but did not went through everything, since I don’t think it is very likely.

Unfortunately I had the worst possible draw with DS. Tiger and whisperer + tech 3 might be difficult, if am again unlucky with draws. But even a tech 3 attack with 3 gryphons, should not make me lose the game. We will see…

In that case, the Drill Sergeant can’t give a rune to the Traffic Director since it’s untargetable.

Good catch, I have 2 ways to fix it. Worker skip dog trades sl, rune on lookout. Or worker skip, lobber kills sl, madman + lobber kill quince, madman dies, 2 runes stay on ds, i draw an extra card. The rest would be the same. Will take the second one, and redraw. Will fix it later.

That seems fine to me: as long as you redraw the next hand, the only restriction here would be that you have to play from the last-drawn card, i.e. when you played the Lobber.
