Not played much against mono purple so we’ll see how this goes. I have a feeling purple starter is likely most resistant to Calamandra shenanigans as it hardly ever wants a hero early anyway. I don’t much like my unit selection for next turn, but at least I got the hero + 1/1 start and both my buff spells are in my second hand. Prynn is going to be a nightmare here I reckon.

Thoughts
I’m happy using Rampant Growth here to trade with Fargo, my main thing is just to pressure his board with Calamandra right now. Teching double Centaur to make later Now!/Bloodlust plays much better.
The extra gold from Prospector would have been nice this turn but no matter, instead of working Calamandra I’ll throw down some chunky units and refrain from giving him any cards back. This way I can tech in twice before my reshuffle. Since I have no idea what he’s going for I’ve got to plan around Present and Future’s strong units with Kidnapping, and focus on the ground game with Hyperion. Chronofixer is on my mind as a Prynn counter but not convinced I need to go that way yet.

Thoughts
The main thing here is keeping him off of Tech II to try and forge a lead, though my drawing the Tric from Hyperion makes my next turn weaker than I’d hoped. Hopefully I get a good kidnapping target to make my decisions easy. Teching in TD because it’s always great if you can land it and Chronofixer because Maxband Prynn is still a potential thorn in my side and I need to deal with her. I’m not as worried about her coming out now because he’s got no board to protect her.
