Thoughts
Looks like another tough matchup, and no 1-drops in my opening hand means I might have trouble applying early pressure. At least I have Grappling Hook in my next hand, though without Safe Attacking/Sensei’s Advice it’s not as much of a threat.
That Zane can get scary fast, but if I patrol Sensei in SQL and a hero behind, zhav will need to delay tech 1 ($2 to clear Sensei and $3 to midband Zane) to get the kill (as long as I patrol out of scav). In which case, zhav might simply trade heroes, so I still can’t count on them surviving.
I’ll only tech units for now then. zhav will probably get GPT and maybe Fencer, which Glaxx can handle ok, but I also want a Crash Bomber for some cheap fodder. Next turn I think I’ll load up on Drakk spells.
Don’t want to commit to a tech 2 plan yet, so teching spells and patrolling out of technician. Maxband Zane could mess with me, but I don’t think it’ll be worth it from zhav’s side.

This is a golden opportunity to maxband Rook, which would be a nightmare for zhavier’s codex. I’ll use the rest of my gold to build a HH, even though it leaves me patrol-less, since this is shaping up to be a tech 1 slugfest. Because of that, it sucks to worker Safe Attacking, but I need to keep some warm bodies in the deck and Snapback is too important, even if just for Drakk.

I’m guessing zhav knows I’ll break his tech 2, and is floating all that gold for a big Zane/Drakk play. But I don’t think he could do too much damage with either of them, considering his handsize.
I’ll put Drakk in SQL since I don’t have such good uses for him next turn anyway, with only 2 units in my deck. Keeping the Crash Bomber to set up Earthquake is a higher priority.
Even if a hasted GPT shows up to steal some of my float, I should have enough to tech up next turn. I think I can orient towards a swift base kill, given the relatively weak patrollers zhav has access to.

Oof, didn’t expect the sharks. I guess I should’ve put Bomber in technician, huh? But zhav had to skip a worker and empty his hand, so I’m not feeling too bad. Hopefully Rook and the birds will all survive for an awesome Earthquake next turn.
I’ll play Vir first thing, to see if I can topdeck Grappling Hook and get a kill on Zane.
…
Well, I do have Hook on top, but do I really want to go down further on cards? Plus give zhav an extra card? I don’t think so. In fact, I’m gonna skip a worker too, to force the reshuffle, and patrol just Vir, to keep overpower targets to a minimum.

zhav killing my birds takes the all the sting out of Earthquake. But he did give me Void Star with the tech draw, so I can still break tech 2.
…
That’s a game-ending next hand.
