Thoughts
I could build a heroes hall, but that would mean going for heroes instead of teching up. I will probably just Midband rook and build tech 2 next turn.
Small error, you should have discarded 2 and drawn 4. Put the 2 cards you drew after the reshuffle back into the draw pile and hit the draw 1 button to figure out what you actually drew. The deck size listed appears to be 2 less than it should be. Total cards: 3 worker cards, 3 in play, 5 in hand and 1 in deck is only 12. T3 should be 14.
Also your tower does not rebuild for free, so it shouldn’t be listed there, unless you want to change your play to rebuild it, and the skeleton cost wasn’t marked, so you have a floated gold that you shouldn’t.
Let me know if you want to leave your turn alone or make any changes.
Bleh, I must have messed some stuff up when I redoing my turn. This is a mess.
Maybe we could just start over? Sorry to have made such a mess of things.
If you’re okay starting a new game (you win this one by virtue of me ruining my spreadsheet), I’d like to change codices. I’ve been thinking quite a bit about one I came up with lying in bed last night with insomnia, haha. It’s [Past]/Discipline/Disease.
The spreadsheet can be quite finicky. There are a wealth of tips and tricks on using it in the pinned topic. I don’t mind continuing, your errors we’re very minor in my opinion. Your new codex sounds interesting though, I’m game for whatever, though you are stuck with that one for the tournie.
You can start the next game as player 1 or tell me to continue this one
It turns out the Tech Building system is incredibly frustrating for new players who want to try things out against experienced opponents. Or at least it was for me, being shut out of my primary intended gameplay every. Single. Match. Hard to have fun when falling behind means you can’t even play your cards.
The games I’ve played with our real cards have been orders of magnitude more enjoyable. I like watching the interactions I built a deck around take effect, win or lose. (Not that we don’t destroy each other’s tech buildings! The main thing is that neither myself nor my husband are particularly interested in straightforward beatdown strategies.)
Totally understand. When I was first playing by forum, I must have lost 99% of my games, at least it felt that way. And trying out oddball strategies with people that are also trying out oddball strategies is a totally understandable way to have fun with this game.
If you would like to play a match where you pick my codex for me, and see what shenanigans I try to pull against you, I would be willing to do that.
Either way, hope you aren’t a stranger from the forum.
I would also suggest that the really crazy shenanigans are found in multiplayer games, which are relatively hard to pull off on the forum (not that this stops us from trying). So yea, live play has many advantages.
