Thoughts
The opening stages of this game is a lot more tame compared to past ones. No sudden killings, no revenge fests, stepping on toes, whatnot. It’s worrying that everyone’s mostly doing their own thing at this point. I’ll stick to the basic strategy for now, hopefully with my lack of targets the rest will begin duking it out soon. This kind of unitless passive development in the early game seems to be best. Any advantages gained at this point is usually lost through focused group efforts later, and only accrues grudges and targets.
With two trigger-happy StW players, Boulder can’t be my first tech. Tower and Birds are a must though, looking at the board state, and those+Mythmaking should be good prep for midgame. Dreamfire’s Assimilate is worrying, but he went Future tech II last game so Mythmaking is likely to remain unharassed, and with the abundance of good buildings/upgrades from other teams I should be relatively safe.
Next turn, ideally midband Rook, insta-build tech I, then play one of my techs. Keep it simple.
@Bob199 could you edit the board state/building health for other people on the spreadsheet on your turn next round? It helps keep the info always current.
