Brick Thief loses to Nullcraft, and Helpful Turtle loses to Battlesuits, so I’ll just buff up the queen of D’s. Next turn will be either Brother+Tenderfoot, or Wither for a kill on something.

Kind of an awkward situation, but I’ll try to squeeze some extra value out of FArgo so Prynn doesn’t maxband and dump the doom bonus on him right before he fades out.

I guess Nekoatl whiffed, even with Vir’s topband, while I drew Fencer off my technician. That’s some tough luck.
I would’ve liked to Wither Mox here, but I’m 1 gold short.

Hasty units and Growth tech, I’d suspect MoLaC if I weren’t running Future… Well, I’ll take the opportunity to kill Vandy… a 2/2 Messenger isn’t really scary. Seems like a good time to tech in Brave & Stewardess, since I can’t afford Tech II yet; Stewardess should have reliable long-term value for disposing of Water Elementals, and Brave’ll synergize with Second Chances once I get that up and running. I’ll wait until I tech Garrisons to bring in the Conclave.

Blooming Elm earning its keep!
Going with River over Vandy, just in case Nekoatl kills her before I can cast Dark Pact. Would’ve like to tech Harmony, or another Stampede, but I think an extra Ancient and Fencer would be more reliable.

GG WP. I didn’t expect you to pull out an Elm when I might Assimilate it and use it to power a Drill Sergeant, but now I know you’re gutsy enough to go for it.

I think I need to rush Garrisons out faster to be able to more quickly react. If he goes Growth again, I’ll try to counter with Vortoss Emblem, which means I’ll want to keep some time manipulation on hand.
Yeah, I teched the Elm early in the hopes I could get a surprise overpower kill with Vandy, but you killed her off straight away. I knew it was a risky teching choice, and it only paid off thanks to the fact I drew the Ancient first.

Plasmo is gonna be a problem at some point, since I don’t have great tech 1 units to stand up to it. Maybe Panda could do the trick, by sticking a wisp in its face? Worth a try, I guess.

Overeager Cadets should create enough economic space for a T4 Garrison drop, hopefully. This is gonna be a weak patrol no matter how I play it, but Lookout gives the best chance of stopping at least 1 attacker this turn and the best chance of avoiding a long-term handicap from Wither.

Okay, got my Tech II up, now to protect it and maximize my chance of drawing a Garrison… It’s not a great move economically, but my strongest defense is probably to lure Vandy into buffing a patroller.

Putting Prynn in front was sneaky, trying to force me to buff one of his guys. I might be able to bypass it, though, by Shadow Blading the Cadet and spending the rest of my gold, so I won’t be able to target Mox. But let’s draw some cards first. I’ll tech Discord in anticipation of the Peace engine, and Meta since I’m getting a turn of maxband Vandy, free of Origin Story.
…
Drew both my virtuosos! That means I can spend all my gold, get a tech break, and even keep Panda for patrol.
